I bought one a small 31 with macassar wood inlays. It was my first premium purchase and decided to go big or go home. Absolutely loved it no regrets :). Now I need some plains to beat on

That is the exact load-out I'm looking at. As for a beater knife, already have a CRKT Pilar 3.

Nice vid. Honestly, perfect combo is Micarta on the small and plain jane large is the way to go.

Agree, would safe up for inlays. Prefer the inlays on the 31 myself, at least visual wise.

After having both inlay and PJ, I've determined that I prefer pj over inlay. Insingo is my preferred blade shape. Right now I've got a 31 DP PJ on order but anticipate getting a I sing when those come out as well. Currently have a large 21 black micarta inlays as well as a PJ large inkosi insingo

How do you like your inkosi? I’m pretty content with my CRK right know but I plan on trying an inkosi when it comes out in s45vn

So what do you think about the new one piece inlays on the new version 31s?

Ya I’m with ya on the micarta lrg. I sold my lrg 21 micarta and regretted it for a long time. Just picked up a large 31 micarta and absolutely love it. I also love the insingo blade, I have a small insingo micarta 21 that has some miles on it. I have to say sebenza is my favorite production knife company and I do feel it’s worth saving up and getting one. Really awesome video

The small sebenza with the Insingo blade is one of the best edc knives out there. The Sebenza is my favorite knife. Thanks for watching

I will just wait for the CPM MagnaCut large 41 version, that should give me enough time to save up 😁

Lol I’m in the CRK fanpage on Facebook and people seriously ask that kind of stuff. They used S35VN for like 10 years so I don’t think they’re makin that switch anytime soon😂 Thanks for watching

@@itsaknifestyle8482 yeah, that’s why I said ‘41’ 😁 but seriously, I would love to see thar kind of steel in CRK knives (or also some high end tool steel) - it would make the price more palatable. But let’s see first how the S45VN will perform in CRK knives - apparently they are switching to it for all their folding models.

You better be able to camp every site at drop time, otherwise you'll be waiting a LONNGGG time to get it. us normal folks aren't able to do that.

I like the designs that Chris Reev make on the knives with no inlays but your right about the inlays it just makes it better. I'm hoping to get a raindrop this year. I like the micarta inlays also. How chk you feel about the other wood inlays? Thuya burl, Bog oak, Maccaser, etc...

    • @itsaknifestyle8482
      @itsaknifestyle8482  3 года назад

I honestly like all of the wood inlays, they all looks so good. My two favorite combos are probably a Damascus blade with box elder burl inlays or a stonewashed blade with bog oak inlays. Thanks for watching

I'd like to know if the wood inlays are the same thickness as the micarta inlays. I want the thickest handle possible.

inlay or no inlay I don't think it matters too much since if you spend enough time with a CRK you are eventually gonna want another one. :p

I prefer inlays only on small size Sebenza models.

  • @qdp03

The only downside to the inlay is that it's possible they can come off over time, the woods ones being more likely to than the micarta depending on temp change but I've heard someone's micarta inlays falling off after 3 years.
