I used the Harbor Freight pickup bed crane as the basis for my sho crane. It is mounted so it swivels 195 degrees and has a 110 volt winch on a track. Man has it saved my ole 75 year old body from a lot of pain.

Nice crane. It needs a slot or bracket to hold the jack handle.

Why would you drill holes in the jib that would make it Weak

    • @julielowe7462

You don’t appear to know much about Engineering my friend, A: With this section of Steel, No it doesn’t weaken it, B: if you had ever examined a manual extension crane Jib, you would know, the holes are for a Locking Pin, so you can secure it at different extensions, even the commercially available ones have this feature, it’s only fully hydraulic cranes like Hiab, and Palfinger that don’t use this locking system, because the Jib Extension is powered, this was a very well designed and executed project by an experienced engineer, trust me, the Man knows what he’s doing! - Julie
