Rath Yatra

Over 1,500 devotees joined in celebrating the Rath Yatra festival at the BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi on 07 July 2024. The divine murtis in Shri Jagganathji’s shrine were gloriously decorated.
The day long celebrations organised in cooperation with the Odiya and ISKCON communities, involved a series of kirtans, pujans, cultural performances, Jagannath Ashtakam and the offering of Chhappan Bhog.
At the end, the murtis of Bhagwan Shri Jagannathji, Shri Balbhadraji, Shri Subhadraji were seated in a decorated chariot and led by devotees in a procession around the mandir’s premises.
The final Aarti was performed by Swami Brahmaviharidas and BAPS Swamis while throughout the procession, bhajans were sung by the youth, recreating the divine atmosphere of Puri, Odisha, where the Yatra originally takes place since centuries.
