Re: Dragon Disciple, keep in mind in 3.5, any class could qualify for prestige classes. They weren't intrinsically tied to one class, like in 5e. So it might be safer to look at the overall feel of the class, which is an unarmed, unarmoured, fighter who has a breath weapon and eventually a dragon-ish apotheosis. Sounds more like a Monk to me. Curious to see if I'm wrong though!
The ability to cast arcane spells without preparation and 8 ranks of knowledge arcana are prerequisites.
Would love to see Monk getting an archetype but I'll be surprised if it's not Sorc.

Ranged characters used to be 8 times weaker than sorcs. Thanks to these changes they are only 4 times worse than sorcs.

Sorc is 4 times weaker than alchemist tho

Currently the forums are being pretty harsh on the ranged changes. Hunt's End is losing about 60% of its damage and using an AOE attack with a repeater only fires one bolt and makes the reload even slower. I'm hoping the repeater part will be fixed because right now it feels broken and will simply result in repeater builds removing all AOE attacks from their builds. It's a shame because AOE do seem fun but the nerf price is pretty high.
Also I see the new Exalted Angel aura effect as the new hypnotic pattern in some quests and raids. Groups will ask you to not use it.
Seems like they can easily reverse the change since it was "working" before. It might be better to just revert and decrease the damage by a % if using repeater / inquisitive.
Turbines range human class in asheron's call 2 was crazy fun.
I was always more of an Alchemist player myself; Going darkside and just hammering out damage felt amazing. The lasher was definitely cool but I never pushed too far on it as I just liked alchemist a lot more.
Having the elemental stripping is nice, it'll make Outburst far more viable, as well as a handful of other more niche things.
Visage of terror really should always have been linked to intimidate since you're literally scaring your enemies to death so that's a welcome change.

Nice to hear bow users are making a comeback! I was not thrilled to see my casters using EA and Draconic were gonna take a huge hit to heals and damage…
Yeah, the parade of caster nerfs is getting old.
but apparently according to this guy, specifically at 13:24 - "Exhalted Angel is a lot more powerful now."
You might do 10% more damage with a spell but you will now be spending a few hundred% more time on healing yourself and others. DPS got cratered@@sakarakit5835

It's still cold, dark, and colourless up here in Canada so the tree stays up to ward it off

i've had my tree up for two or three years. i could pack it up but honestly if i did, that whole wall would just be a wall, it livens things up a bit lol

Im excited about how it seems that ranged will be a lot of fun to play. I've heard from many friends that its kind of bland. However, I hope that they update casters for the better soon. AOE was a big thing about them. And if everyone has it I feel like they will be less special then. Especially when monsters in end game have such high saves and spell resistance. But every time I see notes like this, I feel they just end up nerfing them. At least that's what it feels like to me. I find myself gravitating towards melees more and more XD

question haven’t played ddo in a long time partyed up with some guys today why are they so much faster running and stronger then me is it because i’m a first life or not enough potions or what?
probably past lives and equipment from past lives or other characters, consumables like potions could be a small part of it (and you may want to look into those regardless, they're surprisingly useful) but i'd say it's mostly past lives and gear

They entirely changed the way I play effectively making it a different game..doesnt matter if perceived changes are "better" .. if I wanted to a play different game.. id play a different game. The tumble thing sucks. I ike to play extremely mobile characters and tumbling is an extremely integral part of how I play. But thats not how they want me to play the game I pay them for??? Really??? And if they insist on this change it should be balanced better. Should be 1% dodge/rank in tumble like the reflex save . Now i get faster movement for more ranks. With the change a heavy armored character with 1 rank and extra DR already gets the same dodge benefit as a light armored character with 40 ranks.The ranged stuff sucks too. My favorite character is a Ranger HW. Part of the fun/challenge is working around the deficiencies (lack of AOE) but they have been and are continuing to move toward an "everybody can do everything" power gaming mentality. Though fireball arrow does fit the flavor of an AA I suppose. And if you really want AOE on a bow character you can go deeper into Vistani for fan of knives which scales with RP and works well. I hate the epic strike changes.. once again screws the way I like to play my characters
.. again doesn't matter if its percieved as "better" Iwould rather see them fix the stuff that already doesnt work than completely alter the game for me.
