Based on what we've read over the years about how their holidays were paid for and organised, shopping trips were conducted and cars were purchased it's quite possible that there was a tight grip on these women from the beginning. That's why from the day she was kicked out she didn't ecven have a say where she would betaken to how she'd get there, etc. I think the control over all aspects of the women's lives is what makes polygamy sustainablein such marriages

I felt as if my heart physically ached listening to Ntuli narrate all the struggle she had to go through. That was 5 years of painful lessons and insight, especially for a woman who was married to a powerful man, head-of-state. It tells you what kind of a person Zuma is.
