I was raised in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. I feel so blessed! The music and the movies were the best. Back in those days everybody could take a joke, people were naturally friendly, trans gender was treated as a mental disorder, there was no pedophile flag, and a carton of eggs was sold for a reasonable price! 🤣🤯 This was also a time in which people would take responsibility for their actions and their emotions. People also realized that no one offends them, we all pick our own emotions! 😂
I’d love to go back to that time. Driving around, friends everywhere, no cell phones, no computers, no masks, people were awesome, coke was pure, and life was simple. 💥
Being with your friends"not ALWAYS talking with them on cell phones",using a pen and pencil" for class work not computers",the only masks that were worn was doctor's and bank robbers"in western shows"....what's next😕👎
The 80's were incredible with songs like this on MTV and the radio, no other decade has produced so many unique songs that touch the soul and pull on your heart strings, for those who grew up with songs like this, we were damn lucky!
Listening to this just kills me. It reminds me of how old I am now. But what is amazing is, everytime I introduce bands like this to my daughter she just loves them. Its safe to say they dont make em like this anymore.
I was like 14 when this song came out, a youngster with my whole life ahead of me, 54 now this song will never get old, look at it this way at least we were young at such a great time!!!! I'm not sure how many movies they used this song, but it was very prominently in the '83 movie Spring Break. It also was the debut of model/actress Jayne Modean, who was modeling for Montgomery Ward for quite a while. She played Susie in this clip: ruclips.net/video/WhezZxyKJYw/видео.html I had quite few years where I was thinking the Lysette Anthony who was the model on three Bryan Adams videos was Jayne, and maybe Jayne switched her name when she went to acting. They're fairly similar, but since I hadn't seen Jayne in a long time (83). They don't look that similar when you have them side-by-side. You don't know how many decades it's bothered me since seeing Spring Break, that I see her in only one film from all that modeling, and I never knew her name and forgot the movie. I only found the name of the movie because I had thought of this song and knew it was in it, and searched for this song used on a movie. I couldn't get it out of my head that she was in a Mannequin movie for some reason, but clearly I recall her being the main girl, and should certainly wasn't the main one in those. I guess the first decade or two after that, it didn't bug me that I didn't know her name, etc, thinking perhaps she would be in a number of acting gigs, and she was, just not very big, and even the tv spots she had, I didn't see them, because they were all programs I didn't watch. It sure did seem back in her modeling days, you could hardly pick up a catalog and she wasn't in it. Actually, seeing her here again up close on a commercial, I can see why I thought Lysette Anthony resembled her: ruclips.net/video/JtMbHRBTw7Q/видео.html
Every time I hear this song, I think of the movie spring break when Nelson forgets the room number of the girl he is with and gets kicked out of the hotel.
I guess what I am supposed to say is this. I lived this time. You may have been my neighbor, best friend, endless and ever more beautiful string of girl-women I silently practiced marriage proposals for, or the coppers when seemed to threaten our very liberty by closing in when we judged ourselves, out of control. I believe this was our childhood BECAUSE it may have happened naturally if the event of chapter three genesis has NOT occured. God never lied nor said any thing kinda true. To contest God in this WAS to force him to bring a unique love unto ONLY those that said, Yes I do, God, love you. So God arranged what he thought of as the best bunch of days our childhood might have offered. And ensured them. It was NOT an entire lifetime as he only originally understood anyway. But God surely did say surely and thou and will die. Understood seems to be a voice that offers counsel. Many will fail here.

When I'd be sayin' to you

Now that we know that it's true

But it's real and the feeling comes shinin' through
I'm so caught up in you, little girl
And I never did suspect a thing
So caught up in you, little girl
That I never wanna get myself free
And baby it's true, you're the one
Who caught me, baby, you taught me
How good it could be
It took so long to change my mind
I thought that love was a game
I played around enough to find
No two are ever the same
You made me realize the love I'd missed
So hot, love I couldn't quite resist
When it's right, the light just comes shinin' through
I'm so caught up in you, little girl
You're the one whose got me down on my knees
So caught up in you, little girl
That I never wanna get myself free
And baby it's true, you're the one
Who caught me, baby, you taught me
How good it could be
Fill your days and your nights
No need to ever ask me twice, oh no
Whenever you want me
And if ever, comes a day
When you should turn and walk away, oh no
I can't live without you
I'm so caught up in you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
And if ever, comes a day
When you should turn and walk away, oh no
I can't live without you
I'm so caught up in you, little girl
You're the one that's got me down on my knees
