I have seen countless videos on TOB guides and i must say hands down your video is by far one of the most informative and easy to understand guides out there, bravo. Subscribed.
Excellent guide! Just finished my first inferno and said I'd learn tob after. Most of the guides I've found are just advanced strats but don't go through the basics properly.
Been a huge fan of your guides since I saw the vardorvis one. Really dope how you put up timestamps at the beginning and explain the mechanics in depth and why they're important. Two huge thumbs up!
Awesome guide! Planning to do TOB with some non-OSRS friends in the Leagues V and this definitely made it super easy to understand all of the mechanics
First, I would like to say great video, I appreciate what you are doing getting people into this raid, but there are a few things to comment on. First and foremost what got me to write this was some misinformation at maiden. I believe you said that the crabs reaching her increased her attack speed, but this is Hard Mode exclusive. It only raises her max hit in normals (by around 2 on pray per crab give or take). You also stated that s2 will not be in pile. This is only sometimes true if you have an inexperienced freezer, so it’s not really a big deal. Bloat I thought was good. Nylo I’m not sure if you mentioned lockout, and i’m writing this on mobile so i can’t go back to see, so if you did Im sorry for not remembering. I think this would be good to bring up even to a beginner because it can help avoid confusion if they get that yellow flash and funny sound. Sote was well explained, but the rendered visuals(Which I really liked) were off on the east side for the tiles. You had them marked correctly in the clips though so shouldn’t really matter too much. I also found it funny how you had an impossible maze in the rendering, but you got the point across. The death ball also comes out every 10 mage orbs thrown out and when split with everyone in the team will do 70/number of team alive damage to each rounded some direction. I can understand why you may not have put that in, but I still think it is beneficial to know. Xarpus was fine although I’m not sure I would recommend the standing still p3 method because it creates bad habits and especially with whip it’s pretty brain off to do 2 hits and move to the corner he is facing, but I understand and respect your reasoning for it. Verzik was also mostly fine, but I am pretty against just maging p1 even for the first time. This creates a really bad habit and in my opinion doesn’t lead to an understanding of verziks attacks. Melee is super easy and at the end of the da if you tank, most you can tank in 1 hit is a 68 so it is what it is. P2, it wasn’t entirely clear that the purple crab and nylocas come out at the same time but overall it was fine. For p3 however, it is a bit misleading to say she only cycles through 3 specials when the nylons are counted as a special as well. The green ball is also technically avoidable, but I understand why you wouldn’t say that because nobody does it. The green ball also doesn’t do a fixed 75 damage-it does 75% of your max health rounded down. It might also be good to mention the tornado only heals for 3x what it hits you for, with a minimum hit of 5, so it could be beneficial to stay at a lower hp in enrage. Something i thought that would be good for all the bosses is know the max hits, except for nylo boss because I don’t know a soul that knows the exact max since we all know it is high but not 90. Overall though, great video and I want you to continue educating people on the content in this game!
The amount of effort put into this video is honestly amazing man. I can't imagine how long it took to create! Thanks for such an in-detail guide and great video to accompany it! Subbed :D
Do you have a CC where learners can gather and try to learn the raid? If not, please make one as the most difficult step to start learning imo is finding a team, especially those willing to take learners.
I don't have a CC however, I have a discord I just made for helping people through entry mode ToB: discord.gg/pRnByzHc88 I can recommend the We do Raids discord and #lfr-tob-learner channel for finding mentors and teams for learners: discord.gg/wdr
Kinda annoying that the first requirement is to have 150m worth of items, the guide portion is great, but apparently its not even worth it until i have a 300m bank value.. ugh guess I'll try for it in a couple years when i get there
The expensive parts are the torture, d warhammer and anguish. You can swap torture for fury, and bring a crystal halberd instead of claws. Between the warhammer, anguish, b ring, tent whip, blowpipe and toxic trident we are looking at somewhere around ~60m. Not cheap but not 150m either. It is an end game raid after all. Hope that helps!
@@mikemolloy2978 lol I'm just barely entering mid game so i was a bit mad at having to start up, a couple month have gone by and a couple k kc at vork and mole and I'm not as scared of the 300m goal XD
@@runewraith Thank you so much! And thank you so much for your guide! I first try solo'd entry mode thanks to you! I know its only entry mode but still! haha
I guess it depends on the person. Tombs of amascut, I STRUGGLE with, TOB I can solo all but hard mode. There just isnt as much going on unlike the other ones. Xerics raid is just long af.
Lol, im quite the opposite. I only solo raids, except for 3 cox runs, now doing expert TOA, haven't even tried TOB regular, only entry mode. But I gotta try soon, everyone just keeps telling me how hard it is to learn, and that learning solo is impossible.
@jamesginger7504 to me tob is easier solo because sotoseg you don't have to worry about teammates getting chosen and rushing the puzzle leaving everyone behind. Also the orb bounces at virzek don't do stupid damage. Really it's just the maiden making sure to kill her nylos before she gets hulk strong and the nylos pillar room that are a bit overwhelming at first. The gargoyle is a straight pushover but try tob sometime it's way less complicated than it looks after you run through a few times and get the hang of it.
Im baffled at the pre pot??? Why not start it w a forgotten brew instead of magic potion and just add a restore sip before all the combats and ranged? It boosts magic and prayer ????
to say nothing you can do there on the green orb is crazy, usually youre supposed to bounce the ball between the alive players to make the ball do less dmg each time
@nastyy. yes everyone should know everything, but for the time being... noobs can just learn other stuff. Noobs typically get overwhelmed, I'd say after 5 kc they can implement bouncing
Bruh, this is supposed to be for noobs? Just say it's impossible mid-game. Go get ur elite void, complete ur diaries, etc. That's tailend of midgame, you're not a noob at that point.
This guide is for end game PvM most definitely. It’s structured to avoid overwhelming amounts of information for people who just want to dip their toes into the raid. The title is mostly just to help people understand that this raid is not only for the elite gamer.

The hardest part of Tob? Finding a team :(
times are changing. tob is slowly being recognized as just another piece of content
your video actually makes it seem easy, I'll watch it a few times more and go do Tob!

What about teammates/clanmates doing it for the first time?

Anyone know how he got his tile indicators like that? Where the 4 corners are highlighted rather than the entire square?
It’s called corner tile indicators from the plugin hub!
