I was looking at both of them, but the Buck's blade shape is why I'm going with them. I like a drop point blade because most of my at work knife use is slashing salt bags. Thanks for the VS video. I was looking at both knives and this helped a lot.
The Dividend was my EDC and I have several in my collection. It's light, fast and easy to handle. When the Buck Sprint Pro Burlap Macarta came out in S30V I bit and its been my EDC for about a year and a half....love it!! I really enjoy the manual ball bearing feel of this Buck.
I own a Kershaw leek, which is not the dividend, but a smaller similar version and I EDC the buck sprint select. Both have a good build quality, the Kershaw seems a bit finer in build quality, but for day to day tasks the select seems to feel more like a brute. As a contractor by trade, I chose to EDC the Buck Sprint select because it tends to act more like a tough tool that can take a beating, the Kershaw is great, but I don’t have confidence that the blade will hold up to my day to day tasks.
@@Daero1 Ouch. I haven't used my buck for anything hardcore like that yet, but so far it's a fantastic knife... Was even on sale for $40 when I bought it.
@@Camelotsmoon The Kershaw was only like 35-$40 but yeah the tip did break. I also could have been more careful with puncturing the bucket lol. I just ordered a buck sprint though so I am excited for it
Thanks for the comparison. I can't speak for the Kershaw but own the Buck Sprint Select. The Sprint Select is definitely in EDC series and it has served me well. Blade deployment is smooth and my hand grips the handle just fine.
I have them both. I can't decide which one I like better. The major differences for me are the blade thickness (Buck is thicker) and the clip. Neither clip is perfect. The Buck clip is a bit non-standard and depending on your pocket shape it may not sit like you want. If the Dividend came with a deep carry clip, then It would definitely win the clip contest. Both are light weight. Flipping action on both is great (but different). I like how the Buck flips out with confidence (like it is saying I'm ready to work) and the Dividend flips out with a zing!
I choose Buck for a few reasons. The design is better, the blade steel is better heat treated, and I love Buck. I'd prefer the Kershaw leek over this Kershaw.
Buck has a better heat treatment on the 420hc. I would go with BUCK.
I EDC the Buck Sprint, it's a great knife, I use it for everything. It's lightweight and gets the job done.
I carry the Buck and love it. As a cook, I use it daily.
I just bought a buck 840 sprint select and am loving it so far

I got the Sprint this Christmas. Love it.

I have the Buck sprint and Its a great EDC.. cant go wrong with either but Buck got my cash and it was worth every cent...
I own that Buck with micarta scales. It's been my edc since I got it. I prefer an unassisted onen.

I went for the Buck, but honestly I wouldn't mind that finer point on the Kershaw.
My kershaw point just broke off while trying to poke a hole in a plastic 5 gallon bucket

Go bucks!!!
Got to go with the Buck!
Buck Sprint Select For me.
What a mean video, asking me to choose 🤣. I might just ‘need’ both of these knives.
I think they are both very nice knives I wouldn't mind having both of them but if I had to choose I would go with the, Buck.
We need more vs. vids. This was fantastic. I would buy from knife center even if it was more money. Purely based off of this much needed concept.
The buck looks much better

Buck all the way! Better design imo and there is no doubt their heat treat is leaps and bounds better.

Buck is my pick
I like the Kershaw
Thats is some nice knifes. I like the blade on the kershaw but the clip on the buck makes it the winner for my. Thanks for shereing 😊
Dividend all day and tomorrow !
pour moi c'est buck knife sprint le meilleur des deux selon moi.
awesome video, thanks.
Kershaw Dividend with M390 all day.
I like the Buck design. But that pocket clip looks like I can flip pancakes with it...
I agree. I like the sprint but the pocket clip digs into my palm
I took my clip off to make it easy to slip in and out of my pocket. On the plus side, makes the knife even lighter! Its down to 3 oz i think.
Buck!
Both.
Kershaw
Buck Sprint Select
Buck all day
Kershaw dividend for the blade, buck for its QC... thanks Paul 😂
It's the buck sprint, Kershaw dividend
Buck better heat treat blade so cheap 420hc is better than all others
