  • Meadow Brook Hall is a Tudor revival style mansion located at 350 Estate Drive in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It was built between 1926 and 1929 by the heiress to the Dodge automaker fortune, Matilda Dodge Wilson and her second husband, lumber baron, Alfred Wilson.

    what is so sad is all the gilded era mansions, buildings and theaters that were lost to neglect. Garwood's woods Detroit river mansion, Rose terrace,the united artist theater, Michigan theater. there were a ton of them in the 1920's almost all of them gone.

    Somewhere in February 2019 me and my classmates went here for the tour and it was so interesting and I’m feeling nostalgic

    Shame their main residence along the Detroit River was taken down in the 1970s (Rose Terrace II). Today, I own some furniture from that mansion which my great grandparents bought at auction before the house was destroyed. What a loss of architecture for the City of Detroit.

      Rose Terrace II was built by Horace Dodge's Widow Anna Dodge and her second husband. Meadow Brook Hall was built by John Dodge's widow, Matilda Dodge Wilson and her second husband.

      @@chad3200 ah thanks for the correct information. Knew that the two residences were both Dodge residences ... many thanks.
      The hall = Doge farmstead, Rose Terrace II = the Dodge chateau .. shameful Detroit took it down

    This tour and recording are VERYYYY poorly done.
