Loving every bit of this study... Praise God for His wonderful WORD! May we be faithful and not accepting of any form of compromise... may we be FAITHFUL TO THE END!
Indeed Melody those pastors have done a lot of studies and how uplifting it is to get a deeper understanding Revelation has been my favorite book ever since I was converted by an evangelistic program
Guess I have missed a few programs. Very sorry about not hearing from my questions answered. Not able to send "video questions. But I believe that God will give me the answers somewhere else. So far the study great.blessings to all of you. My prayers with you all.
Re: Antipas (perhaps this was what they meant but didn't plainly say) 1. All the churches existed plus they had a character. (Same as with Jezebel) 2. There was no record of Belshazzar was it until very recently and was thought therefore not to exist. So to me that says whilst he might have had a character/represented those who would not bow he also would have been a person.
While at the school of health at Loma Linda in the early seventies I took a Daniel and Revelation class. The name that comes to me for the teacher is Dr. Hepinstall, but I have slept since then so I could be wrong. The teacher told us that a religion in ancient Babylon required the women to go to the city square daily and offer themselves to men that they didn't know for intimate relations. Some less attractive women went up to three years before their offer was taken. This religion was allowed to practice after the Medes and Persians took over until the priests tried to bring about a political uprising. They were kicked out and migrated to Pergamus until the pagan Roman senate invited them to come to Rome where they have remained. Here is an physical explanation of the Great Harlot in Revelation.
Hi team Revelation....my studies showed that Antipas is a real person he was shut up in a brazen bull which was heated until red hot...martyred for opposing pagan ceremonies etc
Could the writing of names in stone represent permanence just as the 10 commandments were written in stone to indicate that they are permanent and so unchangeable?
Great teaching. One amendment, Balam was a sorcerer, he was not of the tribe of Israel, therefore, not a prophet of God. Like the wise men of the East who sought Jesus were diviners
I haven't looked into this and to be honest, the other churches existed so I'm sure he did too but one of the few things I remember of history is the reliability of sources... perhaps there is question of that?
And from what you say of him being ordained it sounds like the source would be questionable eg. Keys of Peter handed down (ordination), staircases transplanted, random bones said to be bones of this one or that one...
I think he isn't a historical figure in a sense that he wasn't recorded by the Gospels as a historical figure, so we know from the Gospels as to who he is. I sm sure we had many people with this name, but, I don't think the Bible referred to them. For example, when we talk of Jezabel, we need the one the Bible talks about, not the one that just lived. The key is, the characteristics of an individual as recognized by the Bible. Antipas, he isn't recognized by the Bible as a historical figure, "Biblially", that's why I think, it's safe to turn to the meaning of the name.
Great study. Question was Balaam a prophet of God? Saw online, “Balaam could not have been a prophet of Yahweh in any capacity because John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, says that his main doctrine was causing others to serve other gods through cultic prostitution and animal sacrifice.”
Joshua 13:22 New King James Version (NKJV) 22 The children of Israel also killed with the sword Balaam the son of Beor, the “soothsayer”, among those who were killed by them. (Was he a soothsayer all his life, a false or pagan prophet?)
He was a prophet of God ( albeit one who lost his way) even after his sinful desires took the lead he acted in that capacity. As the king said "thou hast altogether blessed them these three times"
@@leemary4833 the first death is what every man destined to partake. Death comes to all ( except for those like Enoch and those who will be alive when Christ returns) Lazarus died this death twice. ( there have been others through out the bible who were brought back to life from the 1st death) Those who have died in Christ will be resurrected when the trump of God calls them at His 2nd coming. The 2nd death is permanent, total separation from God ...Christ died the 2nd death for us. The only one who will ever be resurrected from this death.
This is so wonderful! The dots are connecting!! Amen! Thank you for allowing God to use you to explain His Word.

There appears to be some history of Antipas, who was ordained by the apostle John. This Antipas lived during the reign of Nero. Can you explain.

Constantine set up the Solar Calendar that we use today, which he got from Egypt. shalom. See the book, "The Great Calendar Controversy."

Maryann Lee - He had been a prophet of God, but fell away (went w/Satan) due to his love of money and glory.
Thank you. What is “he died the first death twice mentioned here? Sorry, lost in understanding this. Is he saying Lazarus died the first death twice?
