Jason Wilber lost apart of himself when John passed, his guitar playing perfectly complimented John's songs. I saw just the two of them on a number of occasions, he was a show in himself. Great player. Here's another compliment from Jason: “I was 26 when I started playing guitar with John Prine, and I just turned 50 this year. So it’s been my entire adult life,” Wilber says. “At this point, John and his wife Fiona, their boys, the band and crew, they’re all like family to me. I love them all, and I love working with them. When I look at what happens between John and an audience, I can’t deconstruct it for you and explain exactly why it’s so brilliant. But I can tell you that something amazing is happening. There’s something about his music that touches people deeply. It’s a special thing, and it’s been a pleasure and a joy to get to be a part of it for so long.”
I'm so glad to have gotten to see him twice before he left us. He was a true gentleman and just loved to make people happy with his music. I'm not sure there will be anyone like him again. Rest in peace John, and thanks for your music.
I'm a music person, and somehow made it well into my 20s without hearing John Prine. About 10 years ago I went to a show mostly to see the opener, Amos Lee. However it only took that one show for me to become a big John Prine fan, and this is the song that put me over. Get well John, we love you!
What a Beautiful Human Being ! Goodness Grace and Peace to the Prine family and to all people of the world he touched ! Angels are Singing..ol couple way down in TX
He is NOT lost to us. His music lives and lives and lives and lives and lives ... My heart was broken like the hearts of so many fellow Prine admirers, but let us not think for a millisecond that he is “gone.” He is right here, baby.
This is the way I think about the death of person: It is not a loss. It is just an end of momentum. Some folk have a hell of a lot of momentum. Some folk, like me, will be be listening to Prine 'til we die. This man, this music will sail on forever.
This is Dylan's favorite Prine song. I saw John perform in CA opening for Bonnie Raitt and more recently at the Ryman in Nashville and he was beyond the top like a gift from god who he's hanging out with now, bless those lucky heavenly folk.
God, I could listen to this performance of that song forever. What a song. What a band. What a beautifully judged guitar break. And what a unique talent John Prine had. Forget the decal. He has his ticket to heaven.
Thank God for John and all the amazing music he left for us to enjoy. - N
I like the world better with John Prine in it
His body may be gone but his spirit and his legendary catalog full of gems from start to finish remain.
Heaven sounds a bit more glorious tonight. RIP John Prine.

Great comment
Jason is an exquisitely tasteful player.
That's great. (I have been wondering what Jason is doing now.)
"tryin to save our marriage and perhaps catch a few fish, what ever came first..." that brings a John Prine smile. He is our Mark Twain
That line goes hard 🔥 😂
@@jayzhou104 goes damn hard
We are all poorer for the loss of this beautiful man, but richer for having been blessed by his humanity.
Phenomenal great song ❤❤
This song always gets to me. Come to think of it, all of John's songs always get to me. I was hoping he'd live forever.
In our hearts, he always will.
Me too. ❤

What a treasure. I love John Prine.
John Prine will live with us as long as we share his music! I lived on Lake Marie next to Lake Elizabeth, Twin Lakes , Wisconsin.

My favorite song of John Prine's! love the ending when they really get into it!
That ol' boy rocked it until the end! God bless and Godspeed, Mr. Prine.

We lost him one year ago today. We still hear ya though, John!
He and Steve are smoking a cigarette 9 miles long tonight. Rest In Peace friend. I remember when we met at The Earl of Old Town. God I’ll miss you.
The world 🌎 gained an angel & we lost a great 🎶❣️
Goodbye John. One of the best!
When a Saint goes back to heaven, on peaceful waters ❤ Rest gently JP.
Dylan was right (as usual). John Prine, the Mark Twain of modern songwriters.
This is Dylan's favorite Prine song. I saw John perform in CA opening for Bonnie Raitt and more recently at the Ryman in Nashville and he was beyond the top like a gift from god who he's hanging out with now, bless those lucky heavenly folk.
Praying for you and your family brother ❤️🙏🏼
Telluride is trying to Heal from J. Prine tearing it up! That place will never be the same. Love and miss you Mr. Prine.

Sad he's gone ❤️😞
What a precious legend. Hang in there John, we are all pulling for you. If you must leave us, distribute those body parts well.
God, I could listen to this performance of that song forever. What a song. What a band. What a beautifully judged guitar break. And what a unique talent John Prine had.
