  • Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

    Wow! The Duplangor's are so beautiful! If humans allowed any of these species to go extinct it would be a huge loss to the planet. I'm so very happy there are groups like Monkey World that know what they're doing and can help re-populate the number of WILD animal's not just those in sanctuaries and zoo's.

      Its not a "duplangor" but a " douc langur"

    • @swanofusk9314
      @swanofusk9314 Год назад

      Yes it iscacred shanked douc but there is also a black shanked. This is quite nfair. I Have an acquaintance who is American anthropologist and primatologist and she has been looking after and protecting the red Shane Duke Langer in the Suntra nature reserve outside dining in Vietnam for almost 30 years she is the one who is stood between this beautiful monkey and extension not monkey world I’m sorry to say and I wish they would’ve given her some sort of recognition and quite 😊disappointed in them

      It’s not Duplangur that it’s Douc Langor. Either red shanked or grey shanked Douc Langur.

      I don’t understand how the makers of this video could title it Duplangur.
      It’s Douc Langur.

    It's so encouraging to watch nations struggling to modernize their way of life, reach the point we're they can spare focus and attention on their wildlife. The struggle to feed and govern a population takes necessary priority. So their willingness to address conservation needs is an indication of overall positive societal development.

    When I first started watching the show I really wasn't connecting with Allison, I thought she was a little harsh. Now I understand where that toughness comes from why it's necessary.
    Great job Allison and crew for truly making a difference in the world. 💚🐒 🌍

    Im so glad he turned those 2 Douc Langurs over to Alison and the team. Now they stand a better chance of surviving and going back into the wild. So excited for this program to save them and return them to the wild!!

    I start everyday watching Monkey Life. Your team is absolutely amazing! Allison, you are brilliant! I know, without a doubt that Jim is dancing in the stars with your undying love for his vision of Monkey World, and now Dao Tien. Much love to you, Jeremy, Mike and the rest of your team. Fantastic work 😊

    I love Alison's passion! I mean, the all have incredible passion for saving primates, but Alison has an aggressive streak (in a good way) with rescuing primates and she lays down the law! When she talks, people listen. She's a leader!
    On another note - I have never seen a stump-tailed macaque before. When I first seen the ugly monkeys, I gasped and my eyes nearly popped out of my head! 😲😳 But now? I think they are so beautiful and there isn't an ugly thing about them! I love their laid back demeanor. So precious! 🥰

    I watch all of the great videos about the primates. I love them all. I love the Gibbons, Duplangurs and Orangutans very much. I've been watching the videos several times a day and night for about 2 years. I love the incredible, mesmerizing calls of the gibbons. They sound almost supernatural. I am drawn to their siren like songs.. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for Monkey World in Dorset and the new location in Dao Tien in Cat Tien National Park. God bless you all. Thank you to Wendy, Marina, Mr. Tang, and Kowai.

    If they are cared for correctly at the park like a zoo it could also be a resource to educate the people of this area the importance of leaving the numbers that remain in the wild. Coming in from the outside and demanding the surrender of animals from local parks and zoos it could have the opposite effect. The locals could come to resent outsiders interfering with their own efforts to protect their own lands and wildlife.

    In a situation like that park and the rich that is where the public comes in handy to put pressure on the leaders or other areas that hand out these permits. Public also needs to ignore the animals so it doesn't pay to have them
