These new releases from Danny Elfman are proof that he's still just as insane as when he was in Oingo Boingo in the 80's. 30+ years of film scoring didn't change this man at all, and I love it.
DANNY IS BACK! That is all I can say. There's Oingo Boingo Danny Elfman, there's composer Danny Elfman, now it feels like we're getting the best of both in one!
Danny Elfman, Oingo Boingo! The most creative Band of the 80s - with DEVO. And he is still the only guy who loves weird music. Fan since the 80s! Nothing to fear! Queen-Elfman-Fusion♥

Dystopian Deep Dives this was produced before the pandemic. It was originally intended for Coachella. This whole video was just gonna be played onscreen while he performed live. There has been one constant in my life. Danny Elfman is a musical madman and I've been hooked ever since I was a small child listening to the few albums my dad would play on long car rides.
Ladies and gentlemen....this is what reaching the self realization phase means.....he s accomplished all he has to and now he makes music purely for the purpose of making it...no ulterior motive.....and that's a stage not many get to live out...... On an unrelated note, some major King Crimson vibes!!!!
And detractors of either aside, they’re both still amazing at what they do, no matter how different the things they’re currently doing are compared to what they did back in the day (though Boingo’s last album had some darker+rockin’ songs on it, just as Trent’s albums always had mellower and more ambient-leaning songs). That’s right, Trent and his film scoring with Atticus is top-tier, and Danny likewise is killing it.
@@coquina8819 It might go hand in hand. I do like the Ghost albums. Artists lose their drive/spark/creativity when they have no tragic/extreme emotions as muses anymore.
This shows that we’re only just getting to see some of the best music of this man’s career. The over all vision and execution of this track is breathtaking
@@Bringadingus what? Are you kidding? In this case Danny Elfman sounds extremely similar to Devin Townsend. Devin has been playing this style since early 90's. If you can prove me that Elfman played this style before, I will check it out.
To those of you who seem "shocked"... you do know about Oingo Boingo, right? That being said, this a brilliant return to his roots. Love it when artists return to their place of origin as if they hadn't received the acclaim they have!
That song is amazing! Thank you to exist Danny, you're the best! I love this new era of your career. Deep down, we need you to show us MORE and I know you are capable of surprising us again and again.
When the great Elfman said his new solo stuff was going to be very aggressive and dark, he wasn’t kidding around (and obviously some old school OB fans that wanted something more familiar weren’t prepared for this stuff). But yeah, this is just killer! Looking forward to the rest of his wicked singles.
I don't think people how insanely great this song is!!! I listen to it daily multiple times, all his new songs are so personal and awesome. Reflects on my life events also. Beautiful and powerful!!
Wow, this is an amazing song. I've loved Oingo Boingo since the mystic knights days. Mr. Elfman, this track is so 2020. I love you, and your music, and your lyrics. Much love, always.

I've been very fortunate to have experienced new material from Mr. Bungle, The Melvins, and Danny Elfman -- all in less than a year -- 2020 awakened something dark in a lot of people, and it's so wonderful to see it put to creative use.
I think it's cool that the visuals were made by Jesse Kanda. I only learned about Jesse through Arca music videos and it's really neat that you can see younger visual artists like him collaborating with a tenured and amazing artist like Danny.
The oingo boingo progressive guitar riff in the beginning feels so good. After the last year, I really needed my musical idol to start making contemporary music again.
This man has been the back ground to my childhood, and now my kids love the movies he scores, specifically becuase of the music. never stop good sir, never stop.
This is extraordinary! All of my favorite, menacing elements of his writing (Especially the early Boingo) but somehow darker!!
