I love this channel, i hope i have to come back here one day for a refresher about parts and slang and grip stuff. You explain things so well, so effortoefofrtolesstltyly.
Ollo! I noticed a while back that a cheap stand manufacturer used ball bearings in their C-stands grip heads. This meant that the stand didn't conform to the general wisdom that a load at the end of the arm (with knuckle on the right) should cause it to tighten. The ball bearing would make it slip and could pose a serious safety hazzard. Obviously I don't use that brand's stands but can someone educate me on why the thrust bearing doesn't have that issue?
Love your videos. When are they going to buy you a wireless mic. Or do we have to start a GoFundMe account? 😜😜 Keep up the great work. In learning so much from you.
The Mombo Combo is a larger and all around beefier stand than the Combo. It's legs and bottom risers are a wider diameter, it's footprint is wider(74") and its maximum height(22.3') is greater. www.msegrip.com/products/mombo-combo-daddy-long-legs
I could and do watch these all day lol - Martin is truly an asset to the Matthews company! 👏

Is it normal for a light stand to wobble? I love matthews don’t get me wrong I’m just wondering
Is a combo and “mombo” the same thing? Is it short for Matthews combo?
