Because it hasn't changed for a while. Teams cannot do 3-team trade. They make questionable trades, couldn't figure out how to do "rosters" hence seeing high rated teams below .500. They added more coaches but it doesn't seem to have impact. :/ I usually play MyLeague every now and then though, but mostly for doing short rebuilds or you know seeing someone's legacy (like Lebron etc)

Hey Kenny, I have recommended settings that you could try that will allow you to not have to turn off salary cap in the videos because 2k is wack Go to contracts and change: Min Rating to 85 Max Rating to 85 Salary Curve to 20 I use these settings in every sim unless I’m doing an all time one and the highest overall left in free agency is usually 78 or below Hope these help, can I get some likes so the goat can see :)
Kenny you should definitely do this. I go even more extreme (like 90 90 10) but anything above 70 70 30 is worth doing and will make the sim much better

Rebuild idea: every team that offers you a trade, you have to make a trade with that team that doesn’t have any of the players that were in the original offer.
Draft Challenge: You have to make a championship team that you drafted. You cannot sign free agents, and can only trade for draft picks; which you have to use.
Purge Challenge: Put every player on your roster on the trade block, and accept an offer for them before the trade deadline. At the trade deadline you can fix the roster but regardless the goal is a championship.
You should do a challenge where you gotta end up making some very good young player like luka since he’s already a high overall a bust however you wanna do that or how you wanna say he’s a bust
Don’t think this challenge has ever been done. A one team trade challenge. Fantasy draft…. Spin the wheel with all teams listed. Whatever team it lands on… that’s the only team you can trade with every year till you win the championship. So if you get the teams star player the first year, you gotta hope the second year that they replenished there team and got some more quality pieces to trade for.

MLB THEMED NBA 2K REBUILD Hey Kenny, since you’ve been doing MLB vids, why not put two worlds together! Love your vids btw! Part 1. Have fun and try to win a championship. Part 2: Pitchers: Accuracy is key, good velocity, mental toughness. Must be a player that is shooting more than 40 percent from three. Catcher: The captain of the team on the defensive end. They catch every ball, lead positively, control the pace of the game, and work intelligently with the pitcher to produce desirable results, also responsible for catching base stealers. Must be a player that you think has great leadership skills on and off the court and must be a vet with 7 plus years in the league. First Baseman: Has to be good at digging balls that are thrown to them and most of them are decent with the bat. Must be a player that has at least a gold rim protector, and is a two way player. Second Baseman: Most ground balls are hit here, they have to be quick, agile, good reflexes and fast. This player must have agility OR quickness at 80 plus. Relief Pitchers: Comes into relief of the staters. Must be flexible and calm during situations. This player must be a former 6 man of the year.
Closers: A closer is generally a team's best reliever and designated to pitch the last few outs of games when his team is leading by a margin of three runs or fewer and comes in clutch to save the game. Has to be a player who is clutch.
Pinch Hitter/Substitute: Comes in when the team needs a run, has to be a player who has won 6th man of the year.
Pinch Runner/Substitute: The fastest guy on the bench or even lineup. Can’t hit that much, but can come in to run or steal. This player must average 10 or less, but have speed above 80.
You can fill the rest of the roster with anyone in Free Agent. Start or bench whoever you want.

Kenny you should do a challenge called the luck of the draw. Basically you do a fantasy draft and you pick a random team and with that you must simulate until that team you picked wins a championship. You cant make any trades or signings but you can mess with your teams rotation

Baseball rebuilding challenge:
Pitchers have the highest work ethic and have to be unpredictable so get a player with the unpredictable and high work ethic personality badges
Catchers are the leader of the defense so get a player with gold or higher defensive leader badge
First baseman are typically bigger guys so get a player over 6’8” and 240 pounds
Second baseman are known for their great defense but no so much their offense so get a player with 87+ perimeter or interior defense and 80 or below three point shot and mid range shot.
Shortstops have to be quick on their feet so get a player with gold or higher quick first step badge
Third Baseman have to react the quickest so get a player with 90+ lateral quickness
Left Fielders have to have an accurate arm to throw guys out at the plate so get a player with 80+ pass accuracy
Center Fielders can cover the most ground so get a player with 85+ speed and 85+ acceleration
Right Fielders have to have the strongest arm so get a player with 85+ strength
If you see this than I just want you to never give up.

You should make old players that were very good during their prime (rondo, dj, Love, etc) and give them 99 potential. Make sure to raise their peak start and end, so that when they retire you can see just how close they come to some all time nba records with the career revival.
