Just so you know. When putting thread locker on bolts. You want to apply it to the thread near the end of the bolt that is being threaded in first. Then as it's going in it will it will travel down the threads. I only say something after seeing it applied to the middle of one of the front caliper extension. Well I know for a fact the where it was applied wasn't part of it that threaded in. It was just short.
Next time you need to prime the brake system, drop the hose of the caliper & fill the reservoir. Tickle the lever and let gravity do the rest. Once it starts coming out of hose reconnect and bleed as per normal. And yes lush 2 stroke 👌
We did use the vacuum pump to get things started which really helped. Delay was caused by air trapped in the master cylinder, thankfully bleeding point on the cylinder made things easier 👍
Yeah that was a quality episode!! Why did we not see the ride?!!!!! DYING TO SEE IT IN ACTION!!! What was the cost of such a build? Cost of the bike aside. GREAT Vid, LOVED IT!
Nice, i was thinking of getting a supermoto type, or duke, but then i saw your video on the Aprilia tuono from Wheels. Went for a test ride, and perchased one today. I didn't get any more of a discount, for mentioning your name though.
You didn't get thread locker on the lower caliper adapter bolt were it counts at 7:15. It needed to be applied on the first 6mm of threads, not the middle of the bolt. You also put the chain master link clip on in the wrong direction at 18:15. I saw you get the vacuum brake bleader out but it looks like you didn't use it. Could of saved yourself a lot of trouble.
Nothing like a two stroke, my first Street bike 1975 H1 500 with Denco Chambers. Still snow here in Canada. So many good bikes, just confused with witch one purchase, RSV4, KTM 1290,H2sxse+, ZH2, VMAX that's a distance 3rd love torque, but shaft drive no thanks. Got my fully done 2008 ZX-14 turbocharged. Just question what brand of oil you running in the H2? Cheers brother 🇨🇦
So much fun Chris, you really have to try one of these to see how much sense they make as road bikes. Ideally as a second bike as you wouldnt want to go touring on it!! :-)
Do those SM Pro wheels come in red faded to black? Was thinking of them for my 2020 Honda CRF 250RX, Feel free if you want to trick my bike out for me & do a vid on it 😉
A fun day with 007. I doubt Pol Espargaro’s Factory crew could have done a better job. The only fault I could spot was the tea; a bit milky for my taste 😉
Nice build. I have a 2013 250EXC and I am going to SM it (but have easy wheel interchange for trail riding and a little MX track too) - so it'll be a track-only (which yours is I imagine - can't make that road legal in UK right?). I'll have to find some second-hand stuff because I suspect your wheels cost more than my bike :-). May want to fit some axel sliders and bar-end sliders etc. for the track - new body and all. SM's are made to be dropped, right?
Did you clean the protective film of the discs before you fitted em ?. I usually use silkolene or rock oil brake cleaner. Your pads will take longer to bed in and most probably pick up shite which will lead to an uneven wear on the discs. But shit you guys don't need me to teach you how to suck eggs. haha fcukin sweet ride tho I'm well gel, 👊✊👊✊✊💨
You hardly see 2-stroke supermotos because engine braking is detrimental to the life of the Piston, rods, rings and everything that require 2T lubrication. When engine braking into a corner the throttle is closed and the carburator doesn't spray the fuel and 2T mixture into the Piston and it's parts. Note: I am not entirely sure about the TPI (injector) models, perhaps a ECU flash for supermoto use is in order.
It's all about the cooling most 2Ts I've ever blown or seen blown it's been down to cooling, roads full of mud, grease, shite whatever clogged roads just dont cool. Obviously brand new clean roads should be ok, but if I were to race, hammer round a 2T I'd defo try bigger water pump impeller and bigger rads. But your right that bottom end need plenty of lubrication when under heavy load. Great to yarn on about 2Ts 👊✊💨
You don't have to Josh, to reduce cost you can just change to a larger disk and just space the standard caliper out. Recommend to fit a larger disk though as standard one will struggle
Fellow Brit, I’m set on getting a 2021 6 days when they come out in a few months time. It will be changed to a supermotto when I do. A big question that I’ve had for the last few months and cannot get a answer for is this. When would the bike need a general service? After a year? 100/200 hour’s? Please advise. Many thanks
Hey Chops, Can you really ride two stroke on the road in the UK? I mean does it meet Euro 4 or 5? In the US here, as far as I know two strokes are no go.
Im not from the US, but as far as I am aware the exc, and TE Husky's are sold there also as road legal 2 strokes. You can make the xc-w, which is sold as off road only a road legal vehicle with some electrical mods ( thats the only diff from the exc bike really). Lights, blinkers, wires and other stuff might differ state to state, but engine emissions in the new tpi's are probably compliant everywhere, except maybe California...check your state, and local laws. Generally speaking it ok, or at least doable in most places if mods are required.
Nice to see strokes coming back , screw the haters , they just get older & older
My dream bike, Ive wanted that ktm SM300 set up for years. Bloody Wanka's!
Awesome bike for playing around on in our crappy wet winter
Very Cool. Dont let supermotos fade into the past, keep building!
Just so you know. When putting thread locker on bolts. You want to apply it to the thread near the end of the bolt that is being threaded in first. Then as it's going in it will it will travel down the threads.

Has there been a follow up video to this? How it rode? Has it been reliable after some decent mileage?
That is the best looking bike I've seen I want one!!!!!!!
Yes yes yes yes stroker supermoto chops your a hero been asking about this for years and you have finally come through what a legend !!!!
Always happy to help A A :-)
Intro should have been "We're starting with a big fat wallet" hahah
KTM does stand for "Keep Throwing Money" so that already stands to reason
Between the rain and the traffic Blighty is a motorcyclist nightmare.. Beautiful wheels

bike looks so nice as a SM.
the chain is easyer to split if both rivits are grinded off.
Looks phenomenal.
Good video Lamb Chop. The bike is looking great.
Looks beautiful!!
Nice build, don't forget the rear plastic shock guard will eat through the lower swing arm shock link, space it or make a slider to protect it 👍
Good tip!!
You are the new Del Bollocks!!!
you shuld check breinger brakes, french guys, amazing quality, they have non perforated discs that just look AMAZING
OMG> What an absolute beauty.
Proper hooligan machine 👍 - shame I'm too old for one 😀

Stunning looking Two stroke Supermoto build!, but where's the promised rideout video???
Great build ... what a bike 👌🧡

It is back, ' mercy buckets '.👍👍
Yes sorry for the interruption in service 😁
A follow up would be nice, you've sparked my interest big time here.!! 😂
Love it! I’ve got a First gem Ally Frame CR250 Supermoto myself, road registered too. Bloody brilliant fun!
No follow up ride, I was actually thinking about buying one and doing the same. How can you build it and not ride it?
Did Lamb ever release a video of this on the road ?
Love the build, love the connectors... Now who needs a talking to about the state of that cup of tea? :D
That is one shexshy beasty
Haha thanks Pete, yeah tea needed more milk but hey bit of rain will sort it 😂
@@LambChopRides :D needed another teabag in it! :D
Proper supermoto!
Great vid ... just need the weather to change and let it rip 😃😃
Gorgeous 2 Stroke Supermoto Build. Is a Self build the only option or do any UK KTM dealers offer the Supermoto option to buy built?
So nice, shame I cant share my 2017 250 2stoke 6days SM I built used Same parts! Was stunning and I do miss it 😔 loving the Ducati 848 though
Wow wat a wonderful wheelie beast ya mate has 😃🏍️. Top vid lamb chops 😃🏍️💜 north of England Uk
Clean!
That' thing is clean.
Yeah its brand new, only done 8 hours

Now that's a truely Gorgeous machine 😜😜😜 pure fun 😍 😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I really don’t get these sort of bikes, not for me. I’ll stick to my S1K. But I really enjoyed the vid and watching the process. Thanks Chops! 👍🏻

Lamb Chop Rides You’ve got a point - I should try one. It’s on my list for this year 😁👍🏻
Awesome bike 😍😍
That bike look MEGA. Nice and clean. How much did the aftermarket parts cost all together if you don’t mind me asking. ? Thanks and great video
Chops tell your mate to get some spoke covers in apposing orange and black to finish the wheels off, tasty
Choppps how was it never seen it in action ? Was it that good ? On road? Better than a 500 exc ? 690
Looks the business,thks.
Do those SM Pro wheels come in red faded to black? Was thinking of them for my 2020 Honda CRF 250RX, Feel free if you want to trick my bike out for me & do a vid on it 😉
I think it would look even more better, if the white plastics were Black and you had a carbon tank cover from CMT
are we gonna see a video of your absolutely fucking sending it in the twistys with this beauty?
Are you gonna test the new ruroc helmet?
Love it !
is there any update on this? :)
That looks so trick 👍 what size tyre has it got on the rear?
It's a 160 rear Andy 👍
Lamb Chop Rides cheers for that I have just asked on Facebook lol
Nice project! Which size of rear rim did you opt for a 17x4.25 rear or a 17x5 rear? And did you fit a 150/60-17 at the back? Thanks for the help
in the vid i saw 160 on the tire, cant see the rim size, looks 5
You got a link to those solder connectors? 🙏😁👍🏻
Is this a good supermoto? I heard two stroke isn't good for street use and the engine could seize
Hi Chops is this video a re-upload? or am i dreaming, Wayne.
No you are not dreaming Wayne, I had to remove the old vid after the first 3 hours. You've just got to watch it twice!! :-)
Definitely a re-upload. Not sure why though.
A fun day with 007. I doubt Pol Espargaro’s Factory crew could have done a better job. The only fault I could spot was the tea; a bit milky for my taste 😉
haha thanks Bruce!! Im sure Pol's team also managed to keep dry :-)
Hi Mr Chops
Wife said she prefers 4 stroke rather than 2. Do you think she’s talking about bike...
As always enjoyed vid.
2 stroke is the way to go, even the streets

No its fully road legal as it's based on the road legal Enduro models. Tuned for a bit more torque than the MX bikes.
@@LambChopRides Amazing - didn't think it would pass emissions - very cool though :-)
Circa 53bhp 2 stroke super moto... Yep that'll be a good laugh!
Did you clean the protective film of the discs before you fitted em ?.

Where did you get your. Moto master brake setup?
InSane Looking Before The Build & After
A sexy wheelie machine indeed sir.
520 chain ? 4.25 rear wheel ? tnx
Best ❤
Love those wheels 😍 are you happy with the gearing selection ?
Could you have used the original brake calipers if you wanted to?
yeah theyre fine. just not as powerful
Is this a re-upload? 🤔🤔
I always lightly grease the Cush drive. Never go in dry fellas....
haha yes did think that after watching it back but grease would be a dust and grit magnet..
@@LambChopRides graphite spray is the way man,i used it for so many things
Did you ever film a follow up video?
No not even ridden with him yet with Covid.. hopefully soon!

every 15-18 hours oil needs to be changed
@@JordRides That's only for a four stroke..
Why the re-up?
This is the kind of build I wanna do, I was looking at a street legal 300 2 stroke, but it was a Beta 300RR

friendly reminder that the brake line has to go on the inside of the fork not the outside.

Nice!
What are the size of your tires and rims?
I'm jealous
What size tires are those?
What size tyres did you end up using ?
Is there an auto-lube system for the 2 stroke oil on those bikes?
Yes indeed, the new 2strokes are fuel injected with oil injection also
