swiss format is WAY better than the 4 groups format in my opinion. 10x less luck based, 10x less toxic, 10x more competitive and 10x more entertaining. in 4 groups format there's always "ez group" and "group of death".. weaker teams will only get swept and their potential is swept under the rug. in swiss format, it does start with luck based drawings but as the teams play, the gap in the level between each matchup get smaller and smaller til we get the teams that truly deserves the playoffs. m6 is gonna be crazy.
It's basically a group stage but in a swiss format. From 16 teams 8 will advance to playoffs.

To those that said this format is design to prevent ph dominance is stupid. Swiss stage is a much better format for ph. In swiss stage, the usual rules is to prevent same region match up,..thus ph will be a very dominant force in this format. Plus this format prevent luck base draw in group stage

@@speedy2774 well PH teams are unpredictable in it of itself with Top 4 seeds constantly chaging (i.e sometimes it is RSG then next it will be Onic), we can only see where it goes once playoffs starts

I mean they are some little improvements but way too little. so yeah my best bet is still gonna be srg as they're also representing my district but my fav team in ph is aurora or maybe I just don't really have a fav team. I just follow where my idol the hitman goes.

Winners v.s Winners, Losers v.s Losers. That's the nature of the 2nd stage in swiss format. Drawing the same opponents over and over again won't happen.

Whoa, I'm totally stoked about the Swiss format! I saw it in action during the Valorant Champions tournament and now MLBB is using it too. I love that it's all about fairness - no biased groups or stages. It's all about the match results, 2-0 vs 2-0, 1-1 vs 1-1, and 0-2 vs 0-2. And yeah, we're locked in now!

Just make sure the draw procedure is credible, don't have to be fancy, just do fishbowl draw and make the person who execute the procedure credible. Also, make it live not pre-recorded.
The team themselves will draw who they will be going against. At every stage there will be a draw to see who they will be going against. So it shouldn't be a problem
All I can think is, "THIS IS GONNA BE FUN" hehe. It kinda feel like whose team is the best, whose meta is the strongest and whose team have the right to be at the top.

Ok guys, for those who want to book hotel, i can help recommend because i live nearby, here is my list: (near to Axiata Arena)
1. Sri Petaling area (4km distance, best for cheap 2 star hotel, has a lot of affordable restaurant there)
2. Pavillion Bukit Jalil area (3km distance, 3-4 star hotel, a bit expensive, high end restaurant, near to the mall)
3. Taman OUG area (10km distance, 3 star hotel can be found, a little bit far, has a lot japanese and chinese restaurant because high japanese community there)
4. Mid Valley area (12km to Axiata Arena, high end hotel and restaurant, many westerners there, best for include vacation trip)
5. KL Center area (20km distance, has a lot 2-5 star hotel and restaurant, no choice if other 4 area is full) 😅

If ap bren qualify for m6 and makes it to m6 grand final, i have no words for this team. This format is like having lower bracket in group stage.
imo if they have use the swiss stage format, then playoffs should be single elimination as the swiss stage takes much longer to complete than the standard group stage we are used to. Also swiss stage gives teams a lot of second chances, and to add double elimination to the playoffs would be too much. Like if you look at League and CS (the other games that use swiss stage), they all use a single elimination bracket in the playoffs.

so on and so forth
then the players themselves will do the draw who will be vs them in that group

I hate when the format make ID and PH teams can't face each other in the group stage.
As Indonesian it feels weird because PH teams is too strong in playoff, we must beat them in the group stage like in M1.
They used swiss format in League of Legends THE WORLDS last year.
Ohh i freaking love this format.. especially when Malaysia VS USA 😤 give wildcard to USA 2nd place, so we can beat them twice
