I discovered this phenomenon of muse/art/imagery and music in the summer of my 16th trip around the Sun in 1984... For 4 decades they have been making the myths, making music that matters... So much content that ONLY Ian would be chosen to sing the lyrics of Mr. MOJO RISEN... No one else has ever been asked to do that for the Doors... Just like the souls of the Navajos scattered on death's highway that jumped into Jim, the both of them jumped into Ian when Jim died... How can Jethro Tull be in the rock and roll HOF, and these guys are not? These guys have defined the last 4 decades of music by being able to make every possible genre and still have great fucking music... Punk, Gothic, folk, pop, country, rock and roll, and metal... I love all their stuff, but have to say the older I get, I love the older SDC stuff, but love this song, and the entire LOVE and Sonic Temple releases... Love it all... depends on the mood...peace...JLG...
What a beautiful video! All your videos are wonderful, Lady Karen, but this is one of the best. Excellent job, as always. And as always, I am drooling over Ian...
back around 1988 we performed this song along with fire woman in a cover band called hired gun we played through out cetral Michigan I was in mid 20s man I could sing this fucker and fire woman I'm 52 now I cant hit fire woman anymore hahahah...my son recently talked me and my ole buddy from the hired gun band the bass player that is in forming a rock band with him... during practice I looked at bass player I was like hold on buddy we pulled this one out of our ass... my son was like wholy fuck you guys done shit like this back then hahahaha..ohh yea.....this whole album was the shit...I had an old sansuie sterio system said 150 watts fucker was probably 400w hahahh ...anybody from back then knows what I'm talking about....the good ole days...why most of us now have hering problems hahah
Good story. You mean the good old days when we had Rock Gods like Ian with talent and incredible music? Instead of the shite of today. Ian is my No1 front man of rock.
No its not bullshit. listen to the engineering and mix of the two back to back (RARE AND 89) and you clearly hear that this one has WAY MORE effect levels on everything esp the vocal mix, the backing guitars and mellotron . This is the best tack I have ever heard from the 89 sessions. It was remixed and remastered at ABBEY ROADS which is bizarre seeing that this was one of the three albums that started "THE LOUDNESS WAR" Why they only released American Horse from Wembley is totally beyond me because its the best live Sonic Temple material ever recorded!!! And yes it's Matt Sorum not Michael Lee. You're welcome.
@@dc307477 Excellent work. Why would Sorum leave this band to go play with crazy-assed Axl? And then he gets there and 20 years later we all find out via interviews for 'Behind The Music' that he was disappointed in what he found there. lol. What's this "Loudness War" you speak of, and does it involve Japanese musicians singing about crazy nights? Thx!
When my daughter was a baby, (32 now), in the car when she cried , playing this song was what would get to to quiet down and sleep.♥️

I have never heard this song before, but I like it! I like the videos in the background. Ian sounds fabulous as always!!
The video is really old and doesn't match the music taken from Sonic Temple. Not even rare.
Love The Cult!!!
Gettin stoned and listening to the CULT is a must
Very cool video! I don't care what anyone says, this album combines the best elements of 'Love' and 'Electric', and there's not one weak song on it.
my top 1 and 2 singers Ian Astbury and Chris Cornell

What a beautiful video! All your videos are wonderful, Lady Karen, but this is one of the best. Excellent job, as always. And as always, I am drooling over Ian...

😳
Bontà divina 🔥
Essa música e uma das melhores do Sonic temple
Song's from Sonic Temple but version here sounds better, less produced, more like the Love sound.
👁🤘🔥💋😘
So, what is very rare about this. It's been on my version of Sonic Temple since 1989
Wow so rare except for the 1.5 million people who bought the album like I did. Dude wtf.
I have seen everything you showed on video too. What is so rare?
Not "new", or "rare". You just put the music from Sonic Temple to an old video.
Rare? New?
ALLMUTANTER, I agree
A
Good song, one of the best from The Cult but why VERY Rare, thats bullshit.Normal song in the record and video hmmm...million times seen pictures

This isn’t “rare”
Nothing new or rare about this whatsoever. It’s just the album version of the song we’ve all heard with clips of the wrong era. 🙄👎🏻
