Same here! Seems like ages since Jaime did the pantry series in the other house, but she really got me started thinking longer term. Now I see so many channels on this, but back then there weren’t many. I’ve wondered several times how the shipping container was working out. I so enjoy going through the build with Jeremy, but sort of miss those wild west days when you never knew what was going to happen from week to week. I’m sure they don’t miss them!

I can appreciate how long it must have taken to get all the things you've collected in your Prepper Pantry. We've moved into our new ICF house end of August last year after living in our RV for 1 and 1/2 years.

I happened upon your original "Prepper Pantry" videos in December of 2019, in January 2020 I saw news video of China's panic and the empty shelves in their stores. I told my husband we better prepare, and I knew what to do thanks to the videos I saw. It saved us so much stress and concern during the year and I continue to grow and use it since then. Thanks, Jaime for your videos...it was the first time I had a real feeling of self-sufficiency. It meant a lot!

So happy to see you have your pantry back in operation. I was getting a little worried that you had so much to do that it wasn't going to happen. I should have known better. You two are always on top of everything. I remember watching Jaime canning back at your old house and then when you put in the garden a couple years ago. How time flies! You should feel really good because you have accomplished another goal that is so important. Go ninja go!!

One thing I highly recommend adding to your pantry is fermented foods. Delicious, super healthy, with tons of probiotics, enzymes, and good bacteria. It’s also shelf stable for 6 months to a year! There are plenty of people on RUclips with great tutorials on how to do it. Big plus: no botulinum worries!
Easy rule of thumb: add 2.5-3% salt to your jar. Just go by the total weight of your ingredients and/or water.

Your mini grocery looks like mine. We are empty nesters and have been able to store in our basement. We have shelving very similar. We also have plastic totes for things and the plastic food grade 5 gallon buckets of dry goods. I buy in bulk when on sale. Saves a lot of money. We only have to buy perishable at the store now at regular price.

We live in a old church which we moved years ago onto big property so when we built a basement we made a cold room u deer the bell tower which is 8x8’ I keep everything down there except flour and sugar. I am so lucky cause it holds at around fridge temperature almost year round. I am excited that you are starting to move things in. Love it!! Been watching for a few years. Since a year or so before this property. And have watched many of your older videos. I am still trying to talk my husband into the "bug out" kits you put together a few years ago. Where each kit was 1-2 wks of food and medical supplies. He is more of the opinion that we hunker down and ride it out. We are on defendable property with like minded neigbors. So i am concentrating on the pantry. Got my 1st of 3 dehydrators. (1each for fruit, veggies, meat). And saving up for a freeze dryer. Getting better at canning. We always keep about 3months pantry on hand. But now we buy 1-2 extra every time something is on sale and trying to build up to 2-3yrs. We have a super short grow season where we are, so trying to learn how to grow a good mountain garden. Love learning from you guys!!! Thank you for all you share and teach. 😀

Thank you for the info on the seeds! I've saved the location to my bookmarks now, so I'm able to go in and look at them all! It was Jamie that got me started with canning. . I needed to know how to preserve all my meats and frozen veggies for a LONG move across the U.S. and didnt' want to have to get rid of, or give away all that stuff. . It was YOUR channel that taught me how to do that. It was in October of 2019, and I've not stopped since! Now I need MORE shelving, and MORE jars! lol. . Thanks you guys! :)

I started a pantry after seeing yours back in the old place. I also learned to can watching Jamie’s videos. It sure came in handy when we had those supply issues! And now it’s handy as it saves me money!
I started watching Jamie when I was looking for videos on chickens and goats. Her videos were the most comprehensive, and I like her way of going about raising chickens - she kept a clean coop and healthy birds- as well as her videos on keeping goats. The best out there still.
The pantry videos convinced me I could can- so I bought the supplies and got started. The peaches were excellent that first year- and we made Peach Butter that was to die for! Lol. I keep enough for about 6 months to a year- and it’s a comfort to know we have a variety of food to get us through if we end up unemployed or unable to shop for some reason. There’s a feeling that comes from being able to care for yourself and do it well.
Thanks again for teaching me, or reminding me how self sufficiency is so key to a life well lived.
    Thanks Jamie! :)
And thank you, Jeremy. You’ve taught me so much about how to be your own contractor and real quality in a home.

Great basement (setup)!! You guys should put a Deep Freezer in the Prepper Pantry. As 'preppers', I'm sure you know that one should (needs to) freeze their flours/grains/ect to kill off weevils (and other bugs); freeze for about 1 to 2 weeks. And also, nuts/seeds should be kept in the fridge/freezer to give them longevity (and not go rancid). Garden seeds that are only good for a few years (3 years or less) should be kept in the freezer as well (onions, okra, ect). Hell!.....just keep another fridge down there and put your whole bucket of garden seeds in it!! lol
I'm SO happy that ya'll are FINALLY getting to move in!! Everything is looking great!
