    50:20.....that is not the Paris Gun. Check the Wikipedia article you notice the difference

    The UK series « locomotion » in an episode called « War Machines » explained back in the 1980’s that the trench warfare that developed for the first time in the American civil war was a direct result of the delivery of supplies and troops en masse to fixed railheads meant that the armies had no choice but to dig in.
