I am a fan of Lucy for good reason, even at this young age the voice is perfection with spot on dynamics and control. Definitely number 1 for me.

To be able to sing this song this well at the age of 14 literally beggars belief but believe me when I say that when you’re talking about Lucy Thomas, normal rules about what is possible no longer apply. Lucy absolutely nails this and she has my vote.

Asking who sings it better is a bit unfair considering one of them is only 13 or 14 and the rest are adults whose voices have had time to mature. For her age this version is phenomenal her vocal range and control at such a young age is simply stunning.

Thanks Daz, it easy for me, while I appreciate the talent of the other artist, I find Lucy Thomas’s tone so attractive. This performance was early on before she also developed a beautiful and warm low register which is now the best low range going around and that coupled with her high range, well that’s incredible.

Not an easy song to sing,as always Lucy does it justice,stunning young lady even more so now in her 20th year🤩.❤❤❤
Without even hearing the other artists (there is no need for me to do so), Lucy is IMO, the BEST without question on this song, and most any other song you could name. I believe it was around this time, or maybe at 13, that she signed with Chris Broom of Cavendish Records in England and began working with him on the musical "Rosie" wihich is due to open in London in 2024 (postponed too long due to the Covid fiasco). She also released her first album called "Premiere" around this time. She currently has four album releases.

It would be hard to choose, knowing the age differences and years of experience differences. I would probably think ahead and vote for Lucy because if she were the age of a more seasoned singer, I know her version would be best. Best for me anyway. My ears.
Pop singers are a dime a dozen. Lucy is not a pop singer. She sings with tone, control and power that most pop singers do not have. And when it comes to the live vs studio recordings, people need to lookup the RUclips video short of Lucy in the studio singing live into a mic with her record labels orchestra playing along with her. Pop singer lovers are deaf when comes to great singers like Lucy. You are a nice person. Always listen to your reactions. Thanks!
I have listened to both renditions. Morisette has a lovely voice and she is pleasant to listen to. Lucy has a richer, smother voice, and she can transition or flow from the lower notes to the higher notes much more smoothly. Lucy's tone is so much better. I can close my eyes and enjoy either one. That being said, I think Lucy wins out on this one.

Lucy also performed this live at a Calon FM concert when she was 15. Incredible, that will put paid to anyone who days she is lip syncing and has auto tune. Probably would have made abetter comparison. Personally I don't enjoy the way Morisette sings, i love Connie's voice though. Lucy does 3 solo songs in tbis conceri plus the prayer as a duet.Lucyis incredible in that concert. I love listening to her live.

Hi ya Dazza - thanks for your reaction to Lucy and for your continued support for this incredible young lady. This is a pretty old video from 5 years ago - so she would be 14 or 13. My opinion only but I think Lucy crushes this song. Love your accent by the way - sounds like an understandable Cockney/London accent. I probably won't actually participate in your poll, but I listened to all 4 of this song and my choice is still Lucy. Stay safe & healthy my friend!
At 14 years old here Lucy was StUNNING !!!! Sang the song perfectly and with feeling !!! My vote !!! Lucys first commercial recording of Chris Brooms ORIGINAL song of ONE DAY when Lucy was 13 is also a STUNNING song of Lucys and can be found by a You Tube search of her original song GENTLE BREEZE at the end ONE DAY is a suggestion, Both songs are to be part of the Musical ROSIE that Cavendish records, and Chris Broom and Lucy are producing !!! There is no winners, as it’s down to my own ears not clueless critics, other fans or anybody. I’m here for Lucy who is 19 now, and I don’t care about others especially Angelina.
I have heard Morissette Amon sing another Lucy song and yes she is very good no question and she out sung Lucy. But Lucy was only 13.
Comparing Lucy now aged 14 with this song. I’ve not time to listen the guy or play a poll, and I’m not interested in it, but I should listen other artists before stating Lucy is the very best. So… I was just impressed listening for the first time Connie Talbot and she is good. 👍👏 I’ve heard her name mentioned before, but this is my first time listening her because I hear so much about other singers that aren’t for me. However even at 14 I think Lucy is better. Lucy’s version has more classically theatrical tone where Connie and Morissette use character and emotion which possibly many would prefer, so they are different performances. Connie’s version being in the middle, not over dramatic for a song but still with character. All 3 are great singers in a totally different class to Putri and Angelina who’s singing I do not like.
Morissette Amon is incredibly talented and she has maturity and confidence in knowing that. There is no denying Morissette is a great singer and greater performer so a great artist, and probably with even more power than Lucy. Morissette is also much more experienced and accomplished. She sings with passion, emotion, high drama, and her epic performance is a show. She is also much older than Lucy and been singing and performing for much longer. But nevertheless which is the best song? 🤔 Again that’s down to personal taste and ears. I’ll have to listen again with eyes closed. 😌
Ok Morissette’s version is more of a powerful story, Lucy’s version is more a song with varied and pleasant tones and nicer voice. If I was to watch this performed on stage as a show then undoubtable Morissette wins. She is easily the best performer. However to sit and listen as a song, listen regularly, or even to sing along to I actually prefer Lucy at 14. So Lucy wins. In fact as a song I prefer Connie over Morissette, but I’d be fine in listening any. All are good as they portray it.
I am a Lucy supporter but I stated honestly with my layman opinion, however I was expecting Morissette to win again. So I’m pleasantly surprised.
Hi Dazza...I don't like the comparing singers format. Causes too much tension and negativity as far as I am concerned. Lucy's focus is on positive and uplifting songs. She brings light and love into this world. She is pure with a voice made in heaven and is in a class of her own. Lucy is as near to perfection as any singer can hope to be. Let's not tarnish this beautiful vocalist by putting her in a competition. Lucy doesn't need that! She has nothing to prove to anyone. I am not happy about what you did here. You almost lost me as a subscriber. But I'll forgive you for this one and hope you focus on Lucy. She has over 50 covers that you can work on.

george I agree as most people do not recognize QUALITY singing are too programmed to the wild crazy stuff and it boils down to a popularity contest, I quit watching that Indonesian guy that keeps doing comparisons, useless !!
Couldn't agree more George - the comparison format with a few reactors is extremely divisive and can bring out the worst in supporters, on either side. 😮 There is no such thing as 'better' where personal opinion is involved, and only a statement of preference carries any credibility or respect.
BTW - I prefer Lucy's rendition of 'She Used to be Mine' which, IMO, is a masterclass performance. 😊
before starting to write about this " comparisons" I would like to said the format is quite problematic. You have 4 videos. If I want to give a global comments on the 4 videos , where do I have to write? Do I have to repeat myself 4 times?..
I will wrote this comment under Lucy video as I am a fan of hers.
I know very well the 3 ladies, not the guy. Anyway , for me , he is not part of the competition. This is woman song.
These 3 Ladies have wonderful voices.
Here my opinion:
-What I do not like in Morissette performance is the last part. She express anger by starting to shout. This song is not about anger. It is about a woman looking at her past and deciding to change it for the best.
-Connie is a very good singer, but it looks me that something is missing to make her special. Maybe charisma?
It is difficult to explain what is charisma. You feel it looking at Morissette and Lucy.
- Lucy, at 14 years old, knows how to express all these emotions well beyond her age. She knows how to introduce the story, how to explain the past and present . Giving hope for the future.
From the three, she is the more genuine and sincere to express all these emotions🥰👍

Anthony I agree !!!! Lucy sang it best no screaming just good singing and Connie is good but does not have the quality of lucy, and morrecci was just yelling screaming and over acted and under sung, and the guy, same over acted under sung !!!

Hi Daz. I have to be honest here. I don´t think these competition's are pointless as the result depends on whose watching . Eg the only reason I am watching this is because its Lucy and most of the people watching this are Lucy fans you have a couple who are not and are obviously Morrissete fans .Because you have put 4 other singers on here I have looked at them but have no interest in them. So I added Prefer Lucy. Which is what you will get. So how do you get a winner ? I would stick to just reacting to individual singers This will give you maybe more views ,but you will end up losing subscribers I have seen it on other channels. My vote is Lucy as she has perfect vocal control Perfect pitch and to be able to sing like this at 14. second Connie she also has a nice voice,3rd Morrissette she obviously has a good voice but she screams and you don't need to scream to show emotion Last The guy This is a woman´s song

Colin I agree 100%, These "comparisons" are but a popularity vote seems to have nothing to do with quality. there are a couple reactors I have unsubbed from for this reason and I hope this guy does not go down that rabbit hole. as a fellow Brit he should be supporting Lucy !! !
Recorded and live singing is different. They are all good. Lucy is a very good singer. Morisette sung the song with more emotions. My vote goes to the singer who gave me more goosebumps.
Queen Morissette's rebdition tovthis song is untouchable, she sings with feelings that emotionally heartfelts to the bones. She nailed it even the original. She's a paragon Artist, model of excellence and perfection. ❤❤❤

I'm also a fan of Lucy Thomas and she's already a good singer at fourteen, but my vote is for the Asia's Phoenix I think you know why because you have ears too.
Ears and eyes. Listen again with your eye closed. Seriously. Of course it is down to personal taste but close your eyes and listen. Music and songs is mainly listened to not watched, so I judge it on that. A song to me is to be listened regularly and be enjoyable each time. I credit all 3 female singers, I didn't compare the guy.
I think where Morissette is better than Lucy’s rendition is Morissette’s phrasing, emotion and the overall feeling I felt while she was performing it, and it was live. We could also hear the maturity or of a more experienced the choices Morissette did. The goosebumps meter goes to Morissette by a good distance. Just to let you guys know, I am a music lover for as long as I could remember and it seems I am almost always right when I see a gem of a singer. Same as when I first heard Eva Cassidy.
You wrong here. Morrissette screams and you don't need to scream to show passion.
Both are good in their own way but Morrisette is more dynamic vs just a mono tone.
If you read my main comment here I agree Morissette’s performance was epic and better than Lucy. Morissette tells a powerful story and on stage at a show she is probably the best. I mean better than anyone. However listen both again but close your eyes and listen as a song. I'd say Lucy is better.

Morrisette is dynamic and an outstanding and powerful performer, but are we judging a drama show performance or a voice in a song we prefer? In any case good to have both and all 3 female singers. Sorry but Lucy is still boring for me. She is considered, in my book, an amateur compared to Morissette. Anyway, Lucy is still young. She has more time to improve her craft.

@@colinhea Colin, Lucy won this at age 14 because of the massive amount of empathy; she stepped right into this waitress and we felt what she felt, absolute masterpiece performance by Lucy, even at age 14! This is why I like sticking to "Rosie" performances and "A Brand New Day", where you don't have the condescending and derogatory comments. "Rosie" will separate Lucy from the pack.........permanently!

I can understand your opinion. I expected Morissette to win this in my expecations and watching her performance she was very impressive. I was taken by Morissette's drama, but after listening again I wasn't too sure, so I listened again without looking, and concluded Lucy sounded better. Listen again and see! If I was at a show they I'd want Morissette, but just daily listening I'd prefer Lucy. But all down to personal taste. Good we have great singers for all occasions.

Lucy has a very nice voice and tone....though I feel she just sang the song , and I couldn't feel the emotions of the song. She didn't perform the song thru the character , if you know what I mean.

This is probably the easiest choice ive ever tried to make, Morissette is in her own lane, she becomes the song unlike the others, and it was the only one that was actually LIVE 🇬🇧
Possibly a controversial opinion but having been involved with both live and recorded music since the early sixties I’ve always thought that IF (and admittedly it’s a big IF) you are a good enough singer (which all 4 of these undoubtedly are) it’s actually easier to sing well live, especially with good musicians and a supportive audience than in a sterile studio.
@@5pmevans only if you actually have the voice, the problem with most so called artists they are never able to replicate that studio sound to a live setting, this is what separates these Asian ARTISTS from the rest the fact that their live sound is always better than any studio sound, like autotune is a definite no no in the Asian music world which is rife in the mainstream 🇬🇧.
Here in Morissette’s rendition, it was sung live but it was very well be just a backing track, and not in front of a big audience. She might be even singing alone in the room.
Visually I cannot disagree Morissette is in her own lane and she is best at what she does and is the best performer. She becomes the song unlike the others, and much better than Lucy, and uses better drama and acting emotions and she’s confident and professional, plus can tell the story, a true and extremely talented performer and singer. No questions. I’d even say Morissette has more power than Lucy. But read my main comment.
What was to view was put up by the Dazz. Lucy can and does sing live.
The question was who sings it best, not who acts it best or was the most dramatic, nor even who has the most power. But who is the best singer who sings it best. A video is a one off but songs are listened, so remove all what you see and listen again with your eyes closed.
If I was to go to a stage show Morissette would be without doubt my first choice, however for easy repeat listening Lucy has the nicer voice and better tones. Saying that all 3 ladies are exceptional singers and great we have them for the right occasion. 🇬🇧
