If you want to see the coding in the bat file all you have to do is follow the steps provided to create the package then go to your package folder where it's stored and open up the bat file. It's not like the bat file is encrypted.
To save myself time and since it didn't matter where I installed the GUI tool, I installed it on my SCCM console server so I could easily import into SCCM.
I created a KACE SMA package with this tool. Unfortunately upon remote workstation reboot it prompts the user to press F10 to acknowledge the BIOS changes... This kinda defeats the purpose of remotely administrating BIOS settings if we need user involvement. Is there a switch I'm missing to automatically acknowledge the change upon reboot?
Someone can help me ? i can't find the attribute class "DCIM BIOSPassword" at 7:10 min. I installed Dell Command Configure, Monitor et Powershell Prodiver but impossible to find it. Thanks for the help !
Below you will find Driver CABs for Dell Enterprise class systems (Latitude, Optiplex, Precision) to be used to simplify OS deployments on those systems with deployment tools like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr/SCCM) or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln312414/dell-command-deploy-driver-packs-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment?lang=en
Hi There! I do not have the Dell Command Configure integration setup in our SCCM environment so I am having to manually add the package exe I created. Can you please post the content of the batch file so that I can recreate it for my program to run? Thank You!!!
I followed your instructions and created a package VIA the Dell Integration suite from the SCCM Console, but got a different result... and I'm not sure why? Mine created a package under the Dell Client Deployment folder with a package named 'Client Custom Reboot Script', but failed to create a folder named 'Dell Client Packages' with a package... am I missing something? I'm using SCCM version 1906 and installed DCIS 5.1.0. Did I install the wrong version?

Why would they? The point of the video is to show how to use their Dell Command Configure tool not how to bypass it. If you go through the steps to create the package you can then easily go to the package folder and look at the contents of the batch file. Takes all of 15 minutes.
the batch file was created in the package source file. just type the bat name, it exist in the folder OTHERWISE HERE IS THE CONTENT: rem @echo off rem Copyright (c) 2014, Dell Inc. Hello, what if I have a computer park with Dell screens and computers from another brand (Lenovo for example). The agent command dell refuses to install itself on another computer other than a DELL ... What to do in such a situation?
I tried testing an exe I made and get the following error Extraction-GetExitCode:1 (DupApi::ExtractionPayloadTo): *** Extraction Error: -1 I haven't been able to find anything helpful regarding what this means

This is an awesome tool, don't really understand the people who are like this is great now tell me how to do all of it manually so I can avoid using it. lol
This is going to save me so much time. I have been imaging Dell PCs with SCCM for 5 years now, and I never knew this existed. Wooooosh
Nice one Mario, I did not think that collection creation based on querying the hardware info would be so easy.
Not being able to see that Bat file (the code inside that is) and not being able to install Dell Command Monitor makes this video so frustrating.

I agree makes this video pointless

Great video Mario!, an Intune Video would be awesome...
What’s best practice? To have more than one setting change in one exe or to have seperate exe set in the task sequence
Does this BIOS package work with anything else besides SCCM? Les say desktop central by manage engine?

Could this export a "PowerShell" script/config file that could be used within PowerShell?

Is there a way to create a package without using the Dell Integrated command tool? Dose the EXE support silent install switches?

/s works - it's how the SCCM Integration component does it.

Is there anyway to run the executable with out sccm?
It's an executable so double-click on it... if you're trying to script the install just toss in a "/s" at the end the same as with most installers.
You don’t explain anything about the batch file either.
Did you ever figure out what is in the bat file?

The agent command dell refuses to install itself on another computer other than a DELL ...
What to do in such a situation?
This only applies to Dell computers. If you have Dell monitors but Lenovo machines, you'll want Lenovo's config tools
Include a query in your collection and/or task sequence step to only apply it to devices that return true for "Dell" as the manufacturer.
