How much does the dice roll impact your victory points? Can your deck built he built perfect but never activated? How about player downtime? What's the best player amount? Is it more parallel building or has it a competitive aspect?
I wouldn't say the dice rolls directly impact your victory points (1 to 1); however, timing might be what you're worried about. Every card will be activated in each of your rows and then they clear, so you always have to activate each card you build once before you can do it again. As for player downtime, there is some when players move into turn order, but the simultaneous activation the precedes that makes the game click along. I enjoyed a 4 player quite well, but the 2 player works really well (and does move faster due to less downtime between you and the other players taking their turns). I'm not sure about parallel building vs. competitive: the cards that players can buy are all of the same type and with four choices, there will be some overlap in what I purchase and program and what you purchase and program. My board and victory point scoring is not influenced by your board and choices (other than you might take the card I want).
