I memorized Hebrews about 7 years ago. It changed my life. I also m'ed several Psalms, Matt 5-7, certain other sections. I've been working on Romans. At 72, it's HARD, but worth every drop of mental sweat. I've found that I memorize better by listening than by reading. Thanks, Alexander Scourby!

Josh, another inspiring time with Dr. Davis. Those committed to a lifestyle of Bible memory need this encouragement-that includes me! It sounds as though Andy has softened and broadened his clarion call to memorize. This is wise, since there are many out there who need to know first of all, that Bible memorization is still a thing, is still possible at any age, and that God truly honours any and all efforts to hide His Word in their hearts. I still recall the dear pastor who discipled me in 1999 encouraging me: “Darren, not many Christians do this discipline of Bible memory, but if you do it, your life will be greatly blessed.” Being as I was a baby believer struggling with a still secular and sinful mind, I was overjoyed to begin memorizing and meditating on God’s Word, as I am today! Blessings Andy Davis, Josh, and so many others on this eternally rewarding path of Bible memory. Darren from Canada. @reverenddarrenmcclelland

Josh, Thanks for your work, as always. Great and encouraging. I really loved hearing Dr. Davis talk about how God spoke to him and worked in him through Ezekiel. Very rich! Thank you Dr. Davis! Also, like him, it is much better for me if I start my scripture meditation and memory early. However, I also believe it would be great if I would end the day with it most days as a part of thanksgiving for the day and starting to prepare for the next day. (Going on my daily calendar again as a goal. Help me Lord!). I do have two longer other comments that I would like to make, but I will get them to you on the website and if you think I should post here you can let me know. Thank you again very, very much for your work and encouragement to us in your excellent interviews and leading bible memory goal!

thank you so much for this testimony ! I have his first book and believe in the benefits of learning bible verses, I've done it when I was young, ... but I get overwhelmed with all that is happening around me. The most beneficial thing that happened these past 10 years regarding memorizing Bible verses, is that I found a christian community that sings basically verses of the Bible. That's when I learned quite a few verses without even realizing it. When one comes up in church, I realize I know that one ! But I do want to go farther and hopefully encourage others to do so too. I live in France, and all this is quite far away from most of the people. Thank you for this strong encouragement !

Thanks Josh! Interesting that I found Andy's book many years ago when memorizing Psalm 139. I found you guys from your interview with him two years ago. I so appreciate his comments that the new book downplays the original book's comments about memorizing only entire books/chapters. Your interview was excellent and a real blessing to me. That's an awesome testimony. Thank you for sharing that and how memorizing scripture really makes you look at that scripture. I've had many eyes opened to what the scriptures are trying to tell me every day I'm just astounded, amazed, awe struck and 16 million other words I would say if I could think of them. It takes God to open your eyes but it takes you to really study the scriptures. I will check out your book

So, I really resonate with having the Word of God more alive and God speaks to me through it and the treasures I get from just meditatively reading it and through that I have memorized many verses without even trying. I memorized the book of Philippians' a few years ago and I did it by rote. And I have a hard time with recalling some of the verses by their addresses. I know them and can recite them when I'm teaching or sharing. But to say the book I have to start in the beginning and go through it verse by verses in order. So, I am looking forward to learning more about using your technique with creating Palaces so I can have better recall. I was a little disappointed that he said we will not be able to remember and to just let it go. I get that it is written on your heart and Holy Spirit will bring it back to you I have experienced that myself. Are you able to recall the books you have memorized?

I don't understand! At 6:20 Andy says he learned something he never knew...God wanted to destroy Israel. He says it's not recorded in the book of Exodus, but what about Exodus 32:7-14??? Did God want to destroy Israel twice?

Super admirable to memorize Ezekiel but do you know the doctrinal application of the book. This is my personal observation those who simply memorize scripture for the purpose of only memorizing scripture have no idea about what scripture is actually saying they only know the words please I implore you study the scripture and understand its meaning who it was written to and who it was written for think about its doctrinal application rather than just memorizing each word
