Awesome video fellas! Congrats on the first sheds of the year and truly lucky to have a good bud to enjoy the woods with. Makes it that much more enjoyable!
I was born and raised in Windsor, Vermont, around 1963 I had a neighbor, up the street from me, that killed a huge buck in Eden, Vermont, it was a true 8x8, no stickers, it weighed 235 dressed, it took 6 of us to hang it up, with a nylon water ski rope. I could grab the main beams with each hand and back my butt in between the main beams, I weighed 190 lbs. all through high school, so this buck had a pretty nice inside spread. I’ll be 76 next month, I was around 16 at the time.
Facebook has a site called Vermont’s biggest buck club, I doubt it’s in there, but there are many old pictures there. I live in Evansville, Indiana now, since 1966, we are right on the Ohio River, Kentucky is on the other side of the Ohio River, Illinois is about 30 miles west of Evansville. Indiana has some giant bucks also, I’ve seen some giants here, and I have been fortunate to kill the largest buck I’ve seen while hunting, though I’ve seen bigger out of season, it was a 13 point, main frame 10 point with Y shaped G 2s, and a burr point on one side, it scored 170 2/8 non typical, I killed it with a shotgun on Fish & Game land in 1992, I didn’t have it weighed, but I would guess it around 200 or a little more, probably a 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 year old. I also took a 10 point P & Y buck in 1989 same exact area, grossed 137 2/8, and netted 126 6/8, both bucks taken within 100 yds. Of one another.

Good work boys. I'm hoping to get on the board with sheds next week.
Oh I’m sure you will! How’s the snow situation in your neck of the woods?
Great video guys.
Glad you enjoyed it

That’s a great story! Did the buck ever get scored?
@@RUclipsBuckTracker The buck was a 14 point, 7x7, not a 16 point, and I don’t think it ever was scored.
@@dalerash6285 do you know where the rack ended up?
@@RUclipsBuckTracker No I don’t know, the person that killed it lived in Windsor, Vermont on State Street.
