As a minority, you definitely face resistance from the majority. She is definitely being dishonest. She does not want to feel judged. She comes from Punjab, where minority Christians get backlash (killed) for their belief system. Wealthy Christians are treated better than their lower socio-economic class Christians. Hatred for minorities and disconnection from other faiths is something majorities are taught, and therefore, they act according. The sooner we acknowledge the country has many religious bigots, the sooner we will find the answer to change the mindset. Just because Janice does not face religious bigotry does not mean it does not happen.
U might be right to the extent of rural-backward areas but it is bcoz of almost complete lack of 'taaleem o tarbiyat' n has absolutely nothing to do with religion whatsoever !!
We live in a rural area in Punjab pakistan with Christians studying together in the same schools even in government schools..we have never discriminated or hatred any one of them on the basis of their beliefs or faith..always treated them cautiously with more care and respect so that they may not feel anything negative or hurt..so please don't spread that misconception..
@@shahanasikandarkhan You may be nice, but your people have no tolerance towards people of other faiths and beliefs. The laws that are made to anglicize the rights of minorities are very worrisome. I am a minority born in Pakistan, and these situations are very disturbing.
