Thank you so much for a comprehensive review - very nice work! A quick question - does the laptop sleeve have support at the bottom? If you slide a laptop in there / drop the backpack with your laptop in it, will it directly hit the floor?
i wish you can get the x-pac with the grey interior instead of orange? WHY ORANGE??? Guess i have to get the regular city but i ride on the street a lot and would like the extra visibility and waterproofing.
I have not used a CPL 16. So I hesitate to comment I will say that in general, I tend to prefer evergoods bags over aer bags when it comes to backpacks. and aer bags over Evergoods bags when it comes to slings.
I don’t have this pack to measure - but I def. Remember this pack having a really big generous lift from the bottom for laptop compartment - no issues with that.

Yes it does. Aer does a good job cushioning laptop sleeves

I think a lot of people love the orange, but I know it’s not for everybody.

How is the XPac holding up?
No issues at all. And I own two Australian Shepards so it’s nice because pet hair doesn’t stick to it :)

does the bag stand on its own when you load it even slightly?
Mine had no issues standing / fairly flat bottom compared to a lot of what’s out there

Yes. I’ve had no issues with this one tipping over. I guess it kind of depends on how you load it, but I have not experienced issues.
Where did you get the bag? I can’t find the one with orange interior just grey.
