Congrats Ben! Getting into Wharton is such a huge accomplishment, but you absolutely deserve it. It's amazing how you've grown this channel through sheer hard work, consistency, and determination. I remember finding this channel about a year ago when you had less than 500 subs, you've come so far so fast! I can't wait to see where Wharton takes you and how rareliquid evolves from here. You're gonna kill it!
Having a banking background myself, I’ve heard so many people say b school was the best two years of their life ! Not to mention the MBA is going to gain a ton of credibility. VCs will love to see it during your seed funding/series A 😉 lol congrats man
I'm not sure that having an MBA bears much relevance when raising early stage VC? From my experience, I'd imagine it's actually one of the last things they would pay notice to when assessing you and your team. (Coming from someone who does want to get an MBA at some point over the next 10 years).
Ben, I've been following your channel for a while now, and I wanted to congratulate you on Wharton. It's super clear that you work very hard, and you deserve your success. Hope to connect with you at a future point down the line. Cheers.
congrats ben!! cant wait to hear more stories about your experience! am also looking into pursuing an mba in the future and am personally into international studies so was super interesting to hear this lauder program for the first time
Thank you for the shoutout, Ben. We are working around the clock to help students earn top GMAT scores, and we are thrilled that the Target Test Prep course could help you score 750 on the GMAT and gain acceptance to your dream school. Best wishes for a great experience as you pursue your joint degree at Wharton and for continued success with rareliquid and your other endeavors.
Hey Ben, congratulations on getting into Wharton. Not surprised and very happy for you. Could you elaborate on your old co-worker who transitioned from medicine into the MBA who later broke into IB? Could you touch a bit on medical students transferring into business in general? This is my exact situation and I don't think I am alone in being in my position and it's a very difficult one as while medical school is proof of intelligence and work ethic, it leaves you with no work experience so it seems like we have nothing MBAs/IB are looking for despite probably being good candidates.

Congrats!! I was actually in the Huntsman Program at Wharton + Penn, which is basically the Lauder program for undergrad :) I had the best time and the Huntsman/Lauder students really do become your family within Penn!
Super proud of you Ben!!! Can definitely see how strong of a work ethic you have based on the quality of your content alone. I’ll definitely miss how much content you’re currently pumping out once you’re full swing into your MBA program, looking forward to seeing your growth!
Congrats Ben! I'm plannning to attend a MBA program, and I'm currently so curious on how the things will look like. So I'm really looking forward to your videos in the future. Good luck on your new journey!
Congratulations Ben! Great to see you're going to Wharton, I've only heard good about it. Would love to study at such a top tier university too. I'm living in Germany, currently pursuing my Bachelor and just today got a working student job in Financial Management for PE customers - super excited about it too. Love to follow your path, keep up the good work and the motivating content :)
Congrats Ben! Wharton is an incredible business school and that's amazing you got in. I'm planning on majoring in international business right now at usc and pursuing an MBA in the future
Congratulations! Have that real world experience will be beneficial as you progress through the MBA. Applying that experience will make learning more stimulating for yourself and fellow classmates.
Congratulations dude! I recently completed my MBA and it was the best decision I ever made. I was hesitant at first and by networking with others, I went for it. I have health issues within my family too so I have paused the job search but will be back in the USA soon. Good luck!
Hi Ben! This is Eric from s.korea. I love watching your videos and found we are going into mba in same period! Well not in the same school. I'll be going in korea university gmba. Ur video helped a lot in investment bank. Hope to see you one day. Have a great memories in Wharton!
Why not apply for scholarships? That would be an interesting video to make. Also, can you make a video on how you prepped for the GMAT? That would be very valuable.
@@rareliquid first off congratulations! Second, search for scholarships! It may be tougher to get internally but there are many external scholarships you should search for that will help in anyway. Take all you can while you are an applicable student, it’ll help with research, resources, and financial aid for your businesses. You can also look into real estate while being a student to sublet and etc with the loan money. P.s: pretty much same path as you, I have 2 businesses I started after graduating Stern last year and I went for those specific reasons-brand and influence
Ben!! NICE that is amazing... but also a bit sad as you won't have as much time for this channel. WHARTON!! amazing school... CONGRATS Best of luck, keep us posted.
If I'm not wrong it's quite hard to get into Stanford MBA from sell-side finance, the intake from this sector is about 1% of its cohort, down from about 5-6% a few years ago. For finance, they're mainly targeting buy-side. HBS is friendlier towards sell-side folks.
Wow, a 750. That’s crazy bro. Are you naturally good at standardized testing? Do you think a 750+ is possible for someone who is not good at standardized testing??? Wharton is my preferred b school.
👏 And I heard the news today that one of my instructors is going to Wharton too, looks like one of my fav RUclipsrs and my instructor will be classmates haha
congratulations wharton is one of my dream schools i hope i can follow in your footsteps!! can you take an MBA from a top school straight after your bachellors degree?
Congrats! Visit Cafe Nahn when you get there and get their bun bo hue. That will be your default Vietnamese restaurant from now on. EVERYONE from NY goes over there to grab Viet food and pick up a Philly cheese steak on their way back.
You're gonna love it! I'm eternally grateful I met my wife and many of my best friends at HBS. Hope you find a great group of people during your MBA as well.
i'm actually thinking about my future rn even tho I'm still 17 which ik is still young but this channel really helped me make a lot of decisions on what i wanna major in the future and I was just researching what an MBA was . I wish you all the best and hope the next video you make will be about your journey to becoming a CFO XDXD
Hi RareLIquid! I was surprised when I saw this vid come through. You've been incredibly successful on RUclips (I've been watching your 12 updates series). You've already started your own company, grown a successful channel. I understand Wharton is really hard to turn down... very tough decision overall. Looking forward to see where you go from here!
Congrats on your acceptance! Just curious are people from Commercial/Corp Banking able to get in the top 15 MBAs? Pretty much everyone is in IB from what I've seen. Is it a huge deterrent that I am not IB?
Congratulations! Also thinking of applying for the 2023 cycle and wonder if you have the resources to make a video on the different career path out of business school, in addition to the traditional financing/consulting jobs? For example, positions at tech companies, consumer product company, or other fortune 500. Thank you very much!
I also recently applied for an MBA program during the pandemic because the GMAT requirement was being waived. It's not a top business school but they recently became AACSB and their tuition is not crazy expensive which is a plus since I'm paying for my MBA without any scholarships or grants. Wish you the best on this new journey !
I'm trying to break into finance with a completely unrelated undergrad degree. Do you think it would be worth it for me to get an MSF? I got a 760 on the GMAT, so I think I could get into some good schools. Not really sure if I can justify the cost though.
try applying and see if you can get a scholarship! if you got a 760 you're probably a smart guy and can get in. not sure about the msf depends on your goals
ciro don’t worry so much about the cost - it’s worth it!! imagine you are 78 and your health is starting to fail - are you going to wish you spent those two years working, or LIVING??
hey, rare liquid, im a canadian student in queens commerce right now, I want to be an investment banking analyst out of school and wanted to know if my GPA in school would matter, and if so how much? Anyways, huge fan, keep up the good work!

Wharton! Congrats Ben that's a top 3 BS right there. You never know, could also always choose to recruit after your first year to keep some options open if things pan out differently than expected.
Wow, awesome! Congratulations on the huge accomplishment! Can't wait to see what the future holds! In terms of rareliquid, what happens with the website, the discord, the hedge fund and the channel now you're off to full-time education? I'm excited to see how this goes! Congrats again! :-)
