there is a way to glitch it. if you get rid of most of your limbs as a person and active the symbiote, you'll regenerate. disabling the symbiote will let you see the limbs back in shape, while the old ones are on the ground.
BTW when hovering over the hand with the weapon active you can use the keys: Y, U, i, O, to change the weapon to different versions, it also works on the tentacles.
Information not mentioned: If any part of the body is cut, Simbiot can regenerate it, and you can change the weapon if you press on y u i o, and also Simbiot hates loud sounds like a bell or iron.

If they loose limbs and then you reactivate the venom form they regrow them all and get full function, and yes EVEN their head

You forgot one thing, when you use the weapons' ability or use the trendils (torso), you can change the weapons with Y,U,I, and O.
