The U had a similar rep back in the day. Would be great to see a matchup between SC and Miami as they both (hopefully) continue to climb to dominance.

Big wins and strong performances build excitement with fans, media, and recruits who are sensing USC is turning around. A win over Michigan and a decent top 3 finish in the Big 10 will further excite top recruits since USC will be playing big games every year with a chance to go to the playoffs.
If you win , the recruits will line up to come to USC. John Robinson said that decades ago and it is still true.

USC needs to lock up CALIFORNIA Recruits first before meandering 2,000 miles away to recruit a player. It sucks to know that Georgias starting Running back is from Compton and went to Mater Dei. 🙄

@@joeydale3754 MD kids have handlers than want massive NIL deals across the country as well. It’s not a 1 way street. If they want to be Trojans, they will be. Simple.
USC is not going after every talent in Cali, for example DL has to have a non-stop high motor, stars don't matter but if USC gets them top DL, even better, coach Henny will coach them up to be a top DL.
These top recruits need to think fast, the spots on the USC roster are filling up quickly.

I remember being on a #1 ranked team in the country. We were loaded, looking at our schedule easily thinking we would destroy everyone in our path, and play in the Championship game no questions asked. We played a patsy, nobody game one, and got punched right in the mouth, loosing by two touchdowns. Then tying our second game, then winning to a rival in a dreary, wet sluggish hard hitting 8-6 run fest. The moral of this story is it’s great that our team is on 🔥 and off to a great start. USC, and its fans need to be FOCUSED on the next opponent, not what’s going to be their overall record, playoff berths, conference championships. You have to play week to week, each week is your battle. SC has two weeks to heal from injuries, fix the dropped passes by the receivers, add a lil somethin-somethin into that defensive playbook that nobody has seen yet, but Michigan is the next one that needs to go down. When that game ends, then the focus becomes Wisconsin and Wisconsin only. To many SC fans get caught up on “We going 10-2,” or “We going to the Natty,” focus on the task at hand week by week only and you’ll be successful, believe been there before.
I trust this staff won't let these kids sit on their nest and feather it.
