I will say exactly what I’m thinking right now. Ive always loved Andrea Bocelli and his work. When i first hear this track when it came out. I got chills and it brought out tears that I couldn’t control. When i saw the music video, it happened again........and again tonight. Idk if the younger part of that crowd understands just how blessed they were that night. These two together have made a track that will last for a long time as a favorite of mine. It’s two voices that were made to cross paths, and i am grateful that they did.

Hearing them perform this live was everything I hoped and more. It's amazing how two artists with two different vocal styles can come together and create such an incredible duet. @@jackson2308 Absolutely! I'm a former singer and used to sing all genres of musuc except opera as sadly I WAS NOT blessed with that range. I grew up in a musical home and it was 3 generational and my parents were 40 yrs older than I am. My brothers are 8 anc 10 yrs older than myself. So it reakky was like growing up with my grandparents cuz my friends parents were the NORMAL age spread of 20 yrs older than them. BUT this gave me the wonderful advantage of opening up the worid of different genres of music from big band and really old blues from the 30s and THEY loved classical. There IS a rule in our house~you cannot make sauce UNLESS there is an Italian opera singer playing! We are all older now and in our 50s and 60s but we have kept that tradition that was taught to us from our Popo to this day. BTW we are not Italian~WE ARE Puerto Rican, Taino Indian and Mohawk. But our Popo said if you are TO cook Italian food then you must immerse yourself in the music while you do it so your head and heart are truly in the moment OR your sauce won't come out right. That went for everything ~IF he cooked jambalaya he had Cajun bayou music playing! I'm a newer fan to Ed's music and this was the first song AS his original video was what I'd actually run across accidentally and I was hooked ever since. The song represented to me a young love of mine who I'd met AT 15 and began dating AT 17. We'd actually spent ALMOST 20 yrs together on and off. So the lyrics were very significant to me about how they stsrted off SO young. I always used to call him my crazy Italian, just so you know~HE is 100 % Sicilian! NOW...last night I was out having a belated birthday dinner and eating at an Italian restaurant. I'm getting ready to leave the restroom and go back to our table. THIS version comes on and I stopped dead in my tracks. I heard Andrea's voice and of course instantly recognized it. It hit me so hard that I started to cry because of the Italian. It meant more to me hearing it that way because it was like it was more OURS that way~IF that makes sense? Maybe that sounds strange but this is 1 of the songs I've picked for the CD as background music. All of the music will be sings that connect me to my friends in my life and I'd picked the original version of this song but I'm changing it to this one now. They're my songs to play for my wake when they play the looping images behind the videos they show on the laptops. I picked Eds song for me and Rob because even decades later WE ARE still close friends. I got a fatal diagnosis back on March 26th so I'm preparing all my affairs now. So now this is my new song for my CD because it is more perfect for us than the other one. Andreas voice adds something to it that I never knew was missing UNTIL I heard this version. Peace out. ❤
