Gary Thomas is an incredible musician. We would love to see him live in France.
I've got a Verve compilation with his rendition of Night and Day from 1995 and it STILL gets me EVERY Time!
Yeah. He tore that up.
I have implementing and lifting some now. of his ideas in my own playing for some time now. I , much like him use alot of chromaticism in my approach which i have found really helps in fluidity of motion and generally getting around the horn.
thank you it’s perfect explanation
greatttttt
scientific harmonic conception
Heard him with DeJohnette back in the 80s at Blues Alley. Thanked him for a great set, and he was a total asshole. Instead of “thanks”, I got berated for being the FRIEND of someone who owed him money. I hope he grew a pair, grew up, and learned a modicum of etiquette.
