Played nier replicant last year and was totally blown away. Story 10/10, characters 10/10, music 10/10 and combat was a solid 8/10 . Peak game and getting all the endings was a lot of fun this game will always hold a very special place in my heart😊
I agree but i was pretty annoyed on my 3rd playthrough from all the running around. The story and combat was good enough to keep me playing but getting ending e really is a grind. I probably spent 60% of my playtime rolling and light attacking with my spear just to go slightly faster.
I rented the first Nier from Blockbuster way back when. I remember this song wafting in the air and getting louder as you got closer to the fountain and I just stopped playing, left my character there and went to sleep with the song playing. Worth the rent.

@@kurokishizx I’m not gonna say these are all free from fetch quests, but they all come with lore or emotional stories attached.y favourite in terms of story is a toss-up between ‘freesia’ and the ‘lighthouse lady’ questline (which starts after postman’s request side mission) The ones with nice lore/rewards: - ‘ballad of the twins’ because I love this game’s music - ‘The Missing Girl’ and the ‘Shadows of the Desert’ quests - ‘The Great Tree’ if you care about the lore of the world - ‘A Dog Astray’ for a short fetch quest but heart warming interaction - ‘A Despicable Man’ ties into characters you meet in the main story - I think there’s some more intractable stories in the forest of myth after you finish the main one, but I can’t remember so don’t quote me on that. - ‘a magical stone’ for money and the iron pipe you use at the start of the game in case you want that weapon - any of the yonah quests bc the stuff she wants is stuff that you’ll easily find while just playing through the story or going to different areas, and it’s character development ofc. - ‘disturbing the sleep of kings’ for cool puzzles and ‘A Shade Entombed’ for a combat zone in the same area. - any of the quests that grant weapon rewards (compulsory if you want ending E and the weapons have stories in their descriptions and it unlocks more as you upgrade) - ‘A New Merchant in Town’ and ‘Learning a Trade’ bc you don’t have to do much for a big cash reward, and there’s some funny dialogue. - ‘A Tale of Study’ and ‘Research Project’ for character lore - ‘The Strange Fate of the Jewel’ if you care about the lighthouse lady side character This is about as much as I really care for. Side quests are a massive drawback in this game, and we’re quite disappointing overall, so I recommend sticking to the main story if you find it boring. I love this game, but it just sucks that side quests are such a drag.

@@Khaled.64 Yesterday I finished the game. It's pretty good! Side quests are pretty annoying but if you want to see all 5 endings - some of them are mandatory! Every ending adds additional information to the story. Most interesting of them are 1 and 5 ;-)
I can't wait to get paid to get this game. I got Automata a couple weeks ago and it wrecked me and I can't wait to experience it again. Then I'll try Drakengard or find a playthrough to watch dependingly.
@danielpan6909 yeah, replicant was really good, honestly got a lot more attached to replicant characters than automata. It wasn't as smooth as Automata game play wise but I play for the story lol.
