He is quite a known face in bengal. Once he was an aspiring filmmaker I guess, but now I know that that line of work didn't work for him. Now he is an entrepreneur. Recently in a conclave he said that by selling “chop” (a bengali food like pasty with chicken or fish or prawn) one can earn like 2.5 lakhs per month, I don't remember the exact amount he said. But he himself is earning 1.5 lakhs per month. I say that it's better for him to start selling “chop” (by the inspiration of our honourable CM), according to his own advice. He is the kind of guy who presents himself to people bigger and better than he really is.

I know this guy. he was in MTV dropout season one. and that was when i was in highschool. This guy came in a mercedes for the audition and wanted to prove his papa right. He had similar story back then about him and his friends and a lot of bakwaas and some other stupid venture back then but finally got the audition somehow.
Even today he is struggling and its no wonder his cofounders left.
And talking about middle class problems living in AC . what a monumental waste

The guy alone is running created business without any other help and trying to succeed in the wave of fast food chain of Kolkata, it's obvious to be full of overconfidence, one because of his age and second he understands a basic concept Marketing Marketing Marketing, a good marketing can sell anything.
There are many resturants and fast food chains in kolkata now, nothing new there.
See doing something of their own is always commendable. That wasn't the problem. He thought his over enthusiasm and circling the words will get him somewhere which is not the case. Piyush asked a genuine question about the business and look what answer he gave, bamboo ke niche see Aana Hain. So there's a learning curve here. I'm a Bengali too and I run my own business too. I understand the pain but this was sad to watch

He'll need less capital investment. Even during lockdowns and all, sauce can be sold.
Restaurant business is generally taken as a passion driven endeavour rather than a money making one, it's very volatile and not so scalable field.
Yes , also this HoReCa business has so much competition , that after certain time he can't focus on innovation , so going with the sauce is better option i think.

unfortunately not, just selling the sauce is not enough the main thing is even though he said he had sauces, I didnt see a USP for those said sauces. why would i wanna buy ? i dont see a good enough reason yet. also the sauce industry is massive with a lot of major players entering into that said market requires good marketing strategy because he needs to figure out a way to break the existing brand loyalty people have. that being said, i never came across jain sauce so that might be a good place to start.

No good sales guy says i am a good sales guy and can sell anything. All the sharks except for ( mein out hoon) are star sales guys. His pitch was rejected without even understanding , who did the R&D for his sauce, the sauce business and its scope. This guy could have got all the sharks ( except for the obvious one) on board. I have visited their deshapriya park outlet. Food items were not so good both in terms of quality and quantity. I would say streetshops are much better in that area than WTF! From what I understood, he is is more of a big picture guy who can dream up big, bold visions, but gets bored by the blandness of reality and fumbles when it comes to execution.
