If we want to take over the government we have to give the people more than promises. We have to guarantee that our government will not dominate the people but serve the people. The guarantee is going to be given in the form of a declaration signed by every member of the government and every state employee stating that if I betray the nation, if I steal from the nation, if I do anything fraudulent knowingly I do Know and accept there will be only one punishment, death. This legal change of government will require a new political party from the people, willing to guarantee honesty in the government. Because of freedom in thinking, there are no innocent bystanders. I am interested about incurring the rights to use some of the shots in this production as B roll for a documentary about a person who live through the velvet revolution. The central thesis of the doc is this person lived under communism, hated it and the Russian communists. He participated in the revolution and later came to America to build a successful life and has become a beloved member of his community. It is a cautionary tell of branding immigrants as bad for our country without knowing their story and struggle to get here.

Bella Schrader. The footage is well known for years, almost every docummentary about the velvet revolution shows it. Miroslav Štěpán was the chairman of communists in Prague (something like a mayor). He was the only one (!!!) from the party elite, that was imprisoned for a few years, because of being involved in the decision-making process during the police brutality on the 17th of november.

There is some problem in Vietnam? They can have bussiness and they don't have some brutal strong toality today. So they don't have too many reasons for making some revolution.

Czech republic is quite racist, i say this as a Czech, and it is mostly the fault of history and lack of knowledge of history. The first Czechoslovak republic (1918) was actually much more multicultural and tolerant, but because of Nazis and the Holocaust most of this diversity was lost. And then during communism it was almost impossible for foreigners to come to the country because of closed borders. After all of that you're left with a country that's 95% Czech and a population that isn't used to any diversity and think we were always just Czechs, which is only promoted by nationalist parties. Hopefully it will get better in the future
