Subscribed 👍 wish you and yours the best. Seem like a really good dude, and you're a man of God. That is all you need my friend. Lost my job, trying to make it and feed my family like the rest of us. God bless 🙏
P.s. stihl ms171 $179. Those trees could be down in half the cuts with a bit bigger pieces at a time as well. No disrespect.
The tree trim out front looked pro !

@@lawncarelittleguy9337 Ive definitely been in property maintenance for quite a while. I cut a ton of grass for them.. And previous jobs I cut and did some landscaping. But Honestly its just wanting to be my own boss, start a local company, make enough money to pay our bills. I do have a love for it too. I'm great with people which is helping a ton as well. (sales experience) Just started a couple months ago in the middle of the season. So far its picking up alright. I honestly believe this is the right move for me. Im beyond determined! videos from guys like you help big time.

    By the way Matt,
If your not already consider a daily dose of bone broth regularly.
    The health benefits are many.
    Here are just three.
    Bone
    Cartilage
    And gut health.
There are many more like reducing the ageing process.
And sipping on a hot cup of broth is delicious.
You can find it cheaper at the grocery store but the healthiest and tastiest is worth the benefits of costing a little more.
Kettle in Fire bone broth is an excellent product and great source of nutrition.
    Especially as we get older.
    God bless you brother.
    🙏🏼 For you and yours.

Matt I've seen guys retire from the freight industry and start a lawn care business.
Within a couple years in their mid 60's they looked younger and healthier than they did when they were driving a freight truck.
I'm 56 and was getting started this year to get out of those trucks.
Got shot down with cancer December 2020 and missed the whole year.
Doing better now but I'm getting started at the end of the season.
Going to apply for a school bus position next month once I get my license back.
Lost them after having chemo induced seizures for six months.

Yo Yo Yo Matt, very much enjoy a good voiceover!! I can totally relate to your topic on this video. When I started getting burned out I scaled the business back, restructured it, by really focusing on lawns in town & got all my Residential customers within 11 blocks of my house. I'm out there way less hrs. & still just as profitable. And... I 100% hear you on getting older. I'm hitting 45 this September. I'm giving myself 5 more years of doing both. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!

Stephanie and I are mowing around 57 accounts, and both of us have full time jobs. At 56 I think about doing this full time, but I don’t want to leave my really good job in the aerospace industry. I do know exactly what your going through and we’re planning on making a few changes next year.

It's pretty tough to leave a good job for sure! Either way, I will need an exit plan from working in the field in the long term.

I may have mowed my last lawn this fall after having done it for over 20 years. The heat index is about 105 today and I'm getting downright tired of it. Good luck with your decision.

Matt, we have some big decisions to make next year, I’m still part time mowing and have my 40 hour job. Laura and I are mowing 57 weekly accounts and are getting tired. We need more down time. Not sure which way we will go yet.

I totally understand what you're saying I'm at that point right now I've been doing Lawn Care part-time for 22 years is growing like crazy but I can't keep up with the demand and I can't seem to leave my full-time job because of health insurance I'm at that point right now do I downsize my lawn care business and stay with both or do I make the leap which is really scary

Had no idea you were almost 45! I thought you were in your late 30's. As of now, me and the wife plan on doing lawncare for as long as we can. I know of several people who do very well for themselves in lawncare. Some are in there 60's and some in there 70's. I'm not one of those who want to retire and just sit at home working on hobbies🤷‍♂️hope you figure out your path .Working for ourselves was one of the best decision we ever made.

Thanks y'all! I love mowing but if I don't make some lifestyle changes, I'm not sure I can stay in the field. We are currently in the: if we are going to do it, go big or go home thinking. Makes it a little scarier thinking that way but the sky is the limit

That is a tough question. You know I have always contemplated the same thing. The difference I see is that your full time job is there day in and day out. That has to be a struggle to go out there in the brutal heat after the full time job each day Where as with me, I have 2.5 months off of my full time and I get a little bit of a break. I don't think I could do it if I had to work 2 jobs the whole lawn season. A lot to contemplate for you
