@Dan_Danananda the RJ11 jack at the back is connected to SIP Voip client inside the E5186 software. So basically yes, you can use it to dial landline numbers if you have SIP based VoIP account from some VoIP provider. If haven't checked if the E5186 is doing Circuit Switched Voice Fallback yet
It would be great to see if circuit switched calls works and if it falls back to 3G during calls.
I'm currently running a unit from Optus, is there a way to change the firmware and get unlocked options? :)
Hi the link below goes to the EU software for E5186 I see in Australia OPTUS uses almost same LTE bands (Band 1 Band 3 ) so more likely this SW could PARTIALLY fit but please check HW version of your CPE.

Thanks for the informational video. Does this work with a landline to dial mobile numbers using the phone jack at the back?
It does but only if you have SIP ( VoIP ) account somewhere (then you put login/pass to your account settings in the routers config). It does not do Circuit Switched Fallback AFAIK.
Thanks for sharing. Do you know if this firmware can be installed on the huawei 5186s-61a model? I would like to have the bridge mode feature.
Hi Sami, I think the 5186s-22 software is not compatible with 5186s-61a model. According to this site : www.4gltemall.com/blog/tag/huawei-e5186s-61a/ your router operates on different LTE bands : Band 3/7/28/40. It seems that uploading this SW would brick modem inside the router.
It's okay to make a web UI like that on the b310s too
What is the timecode for when you actually review Carrier Aggregation?
Carrier aggressive is when you can use 2 or more bands at once. Like using band 4 and band 5 at the same time to get faster speeds.

Hi, I believe the router should switch automatically to external antenna when connected. There is no option to switch antenna on demand. But you may look for some answers here : forum.huawei.com/enterprise/en/huawei-e5186-4g-lte-cpe-overview/thread/350483-863

In most cases it has only 2 languages for example like English + Finnish depending on the software used. But English is available in every sw
why you have a lot selection of network mode? i only have auto 2g 3g 4g.,
change the firmware to modded and you will get all that options

Hi, If your PPP over Ethernet modem has Ethernet Output port then it can be connected to CPE E5186 "WAN" port with no problem ( this is port #4 on the router). If your PPPoE modem has only USB , then it is unable to work with E5186.

Hi. To connect your ADSL modem ( with Ethernet socket) you would have to setup something called "bridge mode" between WAN port and LAN ports on E5186. About the firmware - Officialy software I linked is suposed to work only with E5186s-22 not E5186s-61a ( they differ on bands supported look here : forum.huawei.com/enterprise/en/huawei-e5186s-61a/thread/251321-100289 ) . However this person claims he has successfuly uploaded E5186s-22a firmware to E5186s-61a so you may do it if you want to take a chance forums.overclockers.com.au/threads/huawei-e5186s-61a-unlock-optus-home-wirelss-broadband-router.1218875/

i want modded webui with band change option
At the mega.nz link you can find firmwares with such option ( bands selections ) but I am unable to tell you now which one is it ( probably one from Telia )

I had European Version of this router. It has some drawbacks for example - when you restart the router it asks for the SIM PIN again. If you want to get rid of this you need to edit internal XML files in the OS of the router ( the router is Android based)
