"Zoomer Developers" First Known Ascent ft. Sam Wu & Sean Barley // Tramway Bouldering x The Beach

"Zoomer Developers" fka // Tramway x The Beach // August 24, 2024
If you didn't know, there are a couple of really cool lines on the leftmost side of the Methane boulder. Two other first known ascents by @crsn_sat called "Hank" and "Bobby" that I became aware of through @domoclimbing.
Having shown @sammowu the other lines already, I began to look at holds more to the right of "Bobby" and between the exit of "Methamphetamine" and "Meth Lab". I could make out a handful of cool edges and thin crimps that seemed like they might climb well. Immediately, I fell off of the first hand move and made way for Sam to try it. He proceeded to flash the problem in what seemed to be the hardest way up the boulder 😂
We were saying it is hard to believe that we are the first to touch and climb these holds especially since it is such a well known area and boulder. But since there is no information about it in the book, any apps, or videos I have found, I am choosing to post and propose the name that Sam came up with for the problem. Regardless of how it actually came to be, it's an interesting problem that is worth trying if you are in the area.
On his go, Sam naturally exited through "Bobby" which he had also just flashed. Having more time to try the moves and work the holds more optimally 🙃, I opted to exit slightly more direct through a small but good knob that allows you to perch over the crescent-shaped right hand edge that Sam locked off to--which makes the line a little more distinguished from other climbs around it.
