- In true Monkey Ball form, completing every world without using a continue unlocks World 9: Sinking Swamp. That may sound like a tall order, and it is. While not as difficult as previous installments, the controls can certainly cause some problems. But if you're up to the task you'll be greeted by a dark green swamp with lightning brightening up the darkened sky. It's definitely the most somber of the worlds and it has a song to match. As this is technically post-game content, there's no boss to face. Instead you get an extra stage to torture yourself with. Enjoy!
The song is a remix of the not-so-secret World 8 of Touch & Roll: Meteorite Mayhem, which is even more somber and soothing. One of my personal favorites, you're high up in the sky with the moon taking up most of the sky, illuminating a foggy mountain range. And true to its name, meteors are falling in the distance, and the stages are absolute mayhem.
SEGA and Amusement Vision own these banana-loving monkeys.
I love how just about every song in Banana Blitz started off slow before leading to an epic build up with guitar, bass, percussion, etc. Simply awesome, and this song is no exception to that rule.
Can’t believe I missed this banger back in the day, I was alright at SMB BB on the Wii but not good enough to clear all the worlds without a single continue 😢

hey, just want to say how much I appreciate your descriptions on all these videos. Monkey Ball series music is the greatest so I find myself back here every so often, and it's always a lovely surprise seeing someone who also cares about the worldbuilding-y / musical connection-y stuff, and who's so colourfully put it into words

Between you and I, I feel Banana Blitz HD deserves another redo. One that doesn't have the shoestring budget that the PS4/XB1/Switch version had, and one that fixes the flaws it has in comparison to the original, starting with the soundtrack.
Give us the option to play all the stages in their original formats, better mini games and most importantly give us the original Banana Blitz Wii's soundtrack back.
That's a pipe dream though, I know it won't happen unfortunately. Maybe if they give us a Banana Blitz 2 but make all the levels from Banana Blitz available along with Banana Blitz Wii's soundtrack? That would be a much stronger possibility.

Is it true you get a character for getting all bananas in every level? There’s nothing video wise of the Wii version and it’s unlockables. There’s just a website abt cheats for the game and it lists ‘super monkey’s’ as well which you get by beating 1-10 without a continue with one monkey that you wanna unlock it with. Course that’s pretty hard

This is technically a remix of Meteorite Mayhem, which is well-deserved.
Do it in a Sonic CD fashion too, Sinking Swamp sounds like a Scrapped sonic cd stage af, So a Present, Past, Good Future and Bad Future mix would really treat this one well.
SiivaGunner has a remix called Clock Tower Factory (Intense Mix). It’s not technically a sinking swamp remix but it does have the part at 0:40 near the end. Also the song is a banger.
Made it to the last level of this world without dying. I fell off the course when I was right in front of the goal, and got a game over. I felt like I had to pass out.
This sounds like something they would play on the weather channel, especially the ending.

I just hope the soundtrack is kept untouched, because it's that damn good.
@@DesertRainReads Well, the music in the reveal trailer was pretty much untouched, so you're probably getting your wish. Not every remaster needs remixed music.

@@mariobroultimate1808 bad news dude, the music was indeed changed for the most part and it pales in comparison to this. Sadly I am going to have to do like I did when Persona was redone on the PSP and give it a hard pass. Bad music ruins the mood of a game for me and this is sadly no exception.
Hnng, that level with 20 seconds on the clock. I always finish with less than a second and it scares me every time. Even though I know that I'll finish it...
On topic: Second best remix in my opinion, I just love Ultra Heaven that little more.

song is replaced with new original music. kinda neat to listen to, has a good beat for it that fits well with playing Sonic on the remaster.
Still haven't managed to reach this world XD I just end up rage quitting on 7-4 and most of world 8's levels too.

Only Advanced players can complete without losing a life. I tried beating it without continuing but I failed. I can complete World 7 (I think) Without continuing.

Definitely not in Banana Blitz and only other one I've played past that is the 3DS one, and even then I barely touched its minigames, so I'm not entirely sure.

Every world theme is a remix of one from Touch & Roll, so that should come as no surprise.
Although Smooth Sherbet’s was loose enough and apparently took more some from Sonic Rush for it to be the only track to still be in the HD remaster.
