A very inexpensive yet good sounding effect Pedals are by Donner and Behringer. If practicing at home and getting started I would recommend a behringer overdrive pedal, behringer vintage delay and Donner compressor. I use a clip Tuner when running Vox amp.

these are all i need, but i prefer a decent delay rather than a reverb, because i can use fast delay to mimick reverb. beside that, reverb feature mostly available in most amp. great Tomo!

Hi Tomo love the chords and the funk playing. A lesson on some of those chord changes for “I’m coming out” would be ace 👍 Btw I never used much pedals as always used the amp overdrive and boost. But I love a little overdrive and some chorus 🙌🏻

EVERY bedroom GUITARIST needs a LOOPER. I think reverb ,over drive ,wah And LOOPER is the most essential fun you can have in your room. My pedals are cry baby wah, Biyang RV-12 Reverb ,Caline CP-76 Overdrive , Lekato nano looper ,all cheap Chinese eBay and they make me smile every time I play cause they sound SO good for SO little money. Oh my Amp is a cheap VHT hand wired SPECIAL 6 all tube point to point wired ,from China. My bedroom , gives me STANDING OVATIONS !!!

Last time I checked Ibanez TubeScreamers were still kinda expensive, this one looks modified, maybe it altered the price, still a must have pedal if you dig this kind of sound but nowadays there are cheaper alternatives. Still a nice video and I agree with showing multiple drive pedals. If you're really on a tight budget I think you'd get more out of two drive pedals than anything else!
yeh were i live ts9's are like €125 but i have a sd1 its pretty good for the price i mean i play blues a lot so it can do like those nice warm breakups if you put the tone pretty low else it just doesnt sound good with the tone to high
Camille Pedrosa Sure, a TS-9 is not rock-bottom cheap, and you’re right, there are less expensive alternatives, particularly when buying new. But as he says, you can buy them all day long for about 60 bucks used. Compared to many boutique pedals that are modeled on TS-808s or TS-9s, that’s pretty cheap. One could also maybe try to track down a TS-5 or TS-7 but at a certain point you’re saving maybe 20 or 30 bucks on something that will not be as sturdy as a TS-9. Have had mine for over 25 years and it still works perfectly. I spent maybe 70-80 bucks back then, seems I got my money’s worth. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a TS-9 used, not sure about some of its bargain-basement clones.
I think there’s a whole budget below your pedals to buy all your pedals brand new would still be quite expensive and with all the great budget pedals available I think you could build a similar board for the price of a new ts9
use your ears and tell me if they all sound the same. even if the circuits were very similar, component choice and capacitance/resistance would render unique sounds from each one.

Yes & no. You don't need anything to play good funk. Compressed tone is cool for funk too! Just different choices.

Last time I checked Ibanez TubeScreamers were still kinda expensive, this one looks modified, maybe it altered the price, still a must have pedal if you dig this kind of sound but nowadays there are cheaper alternatives.
Still a nice video and I agree with showing multiple drive pedals. If you're really on a tight budget I think you'd get more out of two drive pedals than anything else!
yeh were i live ts9's are like €125
but i have a sd1 its pretty good for the price
i mean i play blues a lot so it can do like those nice warm breakups if you put the tone pretty low
else it just doesnt sound good with the tone to high
Camille Pedrosa Sure, a TS-9 is not rock-bottom cheap, and you’re right, there are less expensive alternatives, particularly when buying new. But as he says, you can buy them all day long for about 60 bucks used. Compared to many boutique pedals that are modeled on TS-808s or TS-9s, that’s pretty cheap. One could also maybe try to track down a TS-5 or TS-7 but at a certain point you’re saving maybe 20 or 30 bucks on something that will not be as sturdy as a TS-9. Have had mine for over 25 years and it still works perfectly. I spent maybe 70-80 bucks back then, seems I got my money’s worth. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a TS-9 used, not sure about some of its bargain-basement clones.

I think there’s a whole budget below your pedals to buy all your pedals brand new would still be quite expensive and with all the great budget pedals available I think you could build a similar board for the price of a new ts9
I just did not own really really cheap pedals so I just made up with used pedals.

Aren’t all the circuits pretty much the same??? Never understood the appeal of boutique pedals....
use your ears and tell me if they all sound the same. even if the circuits were very similar, component choice and capacitance/resistance would render unique sounds from each one.

I bought the DS-1 ......i think it is the worst Boss pedal i have ever heard.....
