I would have like to hear how it responds in the low register with something like Enesco's Cantabile and Presto, or maybe an extreme, the Khatchaturian Concerto. I just got my Brannen-Cooper re-padded and I'm NOT happy with it. It has leaks all over it and doesn't play well in the low register, which I know it can. I took it to a certified Straubinger pad technician here in Texas, but I won't say who it was.
Love the contrasting colors you get on the first head joint! What is the first, slower piece? I can’t place it but familiar. The Brannen head joint has a richer, purple color, to my ears. Which cut is that head joint?
