One of the most clever things you do in this video is to connect Cersei being queen "for a time" with her period as queen regnant. Because it never really made sense to me to refer to her time as Robert's queen - which lasted for more than 17 years - as lasting just a short time. But as a ruler in her own right, her reign was indeed short.

To me, without Daenerys & Cersei, the show would be just « meh ». Cersei is the Queen of Kings Landing. She never moved from there ever since she went back from the north in s1. She lived throughout 8 season and has only herself to thank for that. She never pretended to be less or more than she ever was, she was real and unapologetic. What a woman !
First of all, thank you for your comment ! But I don’t quite agree with you, i don’t think there was a true mad queen at all. Cersei is one of the most complex character out there and all she tried to do was fight a prophecy that would take everything from her including her children, Jaime, and her home. It was inevitable, but as she once said, you win or you die. She just tried to win. Without the prophecy I would agree with you though. If it’s not the thing that drives her to act as she does, then it is madness indeed.
@iman jones I will not comment on the incest part as it eludes me myself. I will say however, that she was one of the loneliest character on the show, ever since her childhood. She dreamt of love, she had Robert. She took comfort in knowing she would have children (of love), and the first one was out of her control. All she saw then was love, and knew she would lose it, as the prophecy already started to take its curse. I do not say she had any rights to do what she did, I am simply admiring the complexity of her character and what led her to what. As to say she was mad, no. She was cruel. She made choices, she knew what she was doing. And as time went by, she pushed the limit further and further away to try to "win", when there was nothing to win at all to begin with.
