My God. What a great interview. One for the ages. TEACH DEM. YOU ARE BUILDING AND MAKING HISTORY. Please ask the elders to advise the young artist. GOOD MUSIC NEVER DIES.!!!
Dem days pants length were $5. I remember getting $80 to DJ Emperor Faith one night. Respect to Georgie Ital & Bulby/ Arrows. I know all these hotels (taxi driver/ Ocho Rios) he mentioned. I know the house on Mt. Rosier Hill.
Listening to this interview, it is true that real creative minds are independent in their thinking and rather difficult to control. Ed Robinson is obviously a man who should manager himself and produce his own stuff good or bad
@mrhypeone what's up bredda bredda your dad was one of the best Lacovia ever had hail up your siblings Ed was an all rounder , I remember that piece of art work on the Art and Craft Room outside wall , that's memorable
@@paulsalmon936 Respect. Boy can’t believe Ed was In Jamaica and didn’t link me. I still have a painting he did at my place. Lol. I’m actually in the entertainment biz with Hype Tv. Although we didn’t get to interview him…. I am glad Teach Dem did. Solid You Tube channel 🙌🏾
The movie he is referring to is "La Bamba" starring Lou Diamond Phillips who played Richie Valens.. Richie Valens actually died in a plane crash with Buddy Holly, Big Poppa, Richie Valens was still a teenager on the rise (16 yrs) with hits like "Oh Donna" which singing sweet sample pon de giggy riddim , La Bamba, Sleep Walk.. the day of the crash is remembered as "the day the music died" in history.. 🙏.. Give thanks
I remember back in 89 me and my classmate Michael 'Ras Tingle' Tingling, walked from Harrison Mem. High Sch. to farm heights where Ed had a recording studio, in mobay, called him out and he came out and Tingle told him I am a singer, so he asked me to sing, and I sang Surface's 'shower me with your love' he said he liked my sound but was in a session, so I should come back the Friday, Tingle was looking for me but I forgot and went away with the late Andrew Wong, missed opportunity. Big up to Ed
I used to past by this man's house almost everyday while I was going to Spanish Town Junior Secondary School in the sixties. I also went to Homestead All Age School on Old Harbour Road.
Ed Robinson is easily one of the most talented musicians out of Montego Bay. He’s up there with Mobay legends such as Jackie Jackson. I’m a little surprised that Ed basically downplayed Rockers Master’s influence on his early career. Truth to be told Rockers Master is a Montego Bay giant of the music industry from the late 70s - 90s. The truth is when Ed had a very tiny semi studio. Rockers Master was the FIRST person to take Ed serious enough and started producing major artistes out of Ed’s tiny TIFTAM studio. Rockers Master voiced Ninja Man - Nah go love it - monster tune! Call Me - Courtney Melody and Danny Dread and other major artiste at the time. This is what gave TIFTAM studio the exposure to take off. Additionally, Rockers Master was one one of the first people to take Ed serious enough as a singer to voice two of his early efforts such as, “More Love” and “Aint that loving you” after these efforts Ed got attention from Top Ranking and other producers and never looked back. Rockers Master was a living legend. His legacy should not be downplayed. I was at TIFTAM in the early days. Big up youths like Andrew Thomas.
The artise needs to do some heart shots with lemon in water with cayenne pepper every morning him wake up that will unclog the arteries and strength the heart
I remember when Jackie Jackson ruled the hotel circuit in the Mobay area. A small group of us worked with him on nights off at Wyndham-Rose Hall. Drummer was Steve Williams, Bass was Mitchie, guitar was Howie and lead vocals was Pond Turtle.

He keep referring to 'We' and Teach Dem keep missing the opportunity to ask who were these people. That could tell a story separate and apart as some of these people emerged
He kept getting fired, can’t be the fault of everyone, Mr. Robinson was a drummer and drummers are very difficult to work with. I know, I had my fair share of drama with various drummers.
Your interview shows that you are not a journalist you are a teacher you spending too much time on school things and when go into that and that just waste a time it should be about music
This dude seem like a clown. Man say the only thing him did have could save his life that night was a ratchet knife. How does that make sense? I guess the drums were attacking him. Not even ago continue watch his interview.

I agree with Ed Robinson and the brand name stuff. When brothers and sisters start seeing a little money we tend to show through superficial stuff.
