I have done the typical DevOps work for 18 years now, long before the 'DevOps' term was invented - and I still find this job particularly difficult. AWS, K8s, Terraform, Ansible have become so complex that it's impossible to keep up to date. Even now, as I am part of a highly skilled team of engineers, I can tell you that none of us is a master in this field.
Hi Peter. Thanks for sharing your experience. 100% agree with you. I think DevOps is actually becoming more and more challenging over time, as applications get complex and new tools get added. I myself started as a software developer in the IT world and even though I love DevOps much more, I definitely think it's more difficult and challenging :)
As if "keeping it up to date" is some sort of end goal. "Keeping it up to date" is a process. So tell me about your process, and tell me about how you measure your performance with respect to that process. I have also been doing "devops" for 18 odd years ,and updates are not things you must do, but they are things you must think about, rationalize and make a decision on. For any given update I should be able to say: importantnot important, urgent no urgent, skipped for reason X , risk is Y , benefit is Z. Great overview! I have moved on from decades of software development, and into systems architecture & engineering - overviews like this help give me the 1000 ft perspective needed for architecture & high-level design. (Though as having done DevOps before it was a "word," I will likely dive in and do some tinkering just to scratch my development itch!) ^_^

This is a quick clear roadmap for Devops. I request please make a complete video on Prometheus (along with PromQL) integrating with Grafana. I work mostly with Splunk for monitoring, it is very good tool with high licensing cost. Now a days due to cost cutting they are moving to open source tools like ELK & Promtheus Grafana Should Devops look mostly for open-source tools create everything from scratch or just use pre framed tools by just making intial configurations. What is your view on this?

Best DevOps description l have come across you nailed it.
i'm a frontend engineer but your content inspires me! thanks for the roadmap C:
Wow, happy to hear that Carmelle! 🙏 🙂
I love the way Nana teaches the concepts.
The boot camp says it’s assumed that we have either a software development or operations background. Where should we start if we don’t have either of those?
Great video as always! You make all the concepts easily accessible without losing the idea of complexity.
I love your English and the way to explain everything, it seems to be so easy hehe. I'm glad to be here in your channel.
Greetings from Colombia.
This is absolutely amazing Nana!
Great work, I hope to produce excellent content like this someday.
Thank you 😊 🙏
You are perfect! I was lost about how to start as a DevOps Engineer , thanks for the video!

Overwhelming, but informative 👍

Wow that's great to hear, thank you Abhilash 🙏
You are angel in technology space blessed with superb teaching skills.. Big fan.. Good wishes.. God bless you
Great overview!
So many videos out there about DevOps, but this one really made my day.
Great content for all your videos! Next concept/topic suggestion: Python used in DevOps with example of case scenarios. Maybe not the actual code itself but pseudocode.
I love the way you take the idea of learning the course/ initiating the course via getting into the concepts besides jumping on some tools. I see there are 9 to 10 Playlists you have created sacrificing much time and effort. Can you point out to the Playlists or title of the Playlists for an absolute beginner to start with and to become to an advance level..thanks for your support !!
Thanks for starting this topic. I am eagerly awaiting for it.
Nana you are a talent in DevOpa education. Such valuable contents are hard to find in one place on the web.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Thanks, Needed this, wanted to get a clear picture of DevOps.
Hope this video will be helpful for that! 😊
Yes, me too!!!
Great introduction to DevOps in an easy way! Thanks Nana
DevOps Boot Cost Is Too High Can U Pls Gave Discount
Wow, with so many devops tools and concepts out there, This video is perfect to help me navigate through. Really nice job!
Nana is amazing to boost women.. she is smart...
All developers should know how to deploy and scale their own software instead of just dumping their shit on other people and expect them to make it work 🤨
Amazing introductory lesson for DevOps enthusiasts. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to learn these things free of cost through youtube.
This is extremely awesome. Under 15 mins this is the best explanation.
Thanks a lot Suresh, happy to hear you liked it! 😊
I watch hundreds of videos on devops but couldn't understand what is really devops. After watching your video I am Fully understand what devops is, thank you so much

Nana .... I am watching this and other videos of urs 2 days before my exams and still I am confident as #*! (u know what).
Thanks a Lot !
These are some amazing videos !
Lots of Love from INDIA !
Great introduction to those interested in DevOps!
I think this is the best explanation of Dev-Ops role. By clearly elaborating the role/tasks of developers & operations (sysadmin / sec admin / net admin) and mentioning that Dev-Ops simply bridge the gap by spanning (on a higher level) a large percentage of both roles
As a beginner to devOps Engineering, this video is perfect and very understandable 🙌🏻❤️
Waw pls I need orientât
she know everything and explains so easily. great tutorial. was very helpful.
Thanks Akash, happy my tutorials are helpful for you! :)
Agree, how she knows everything, and when she has time to spend on all? Nana, can you please guide me as I am a 6yrs manual tester with coding knowledge. But coded less as I spend most of my time in testing and I enjoy a lot.
Top of the world as usual. Requesting to share the complete courseware on the Udemy or other eLearning Platform as well as Corporate users would be able to subscribe to it easily. Thanks for sharing.
This is a quick clear roadmap for Devops.
I request please make a complete video on Prometheus (along with PromQL) integrating with Grafana.
I work mostly with Splunk for monitoring, it is very good tool with high licensing cost. Now a days due to cost cutting they are moving to open source tools like ELK & Promtheus Grafana
Should Devops look mostly for open-source tools create everything from scratch or just use pre framed tools by just making intial configurations.
What is your view on this?
It's a great video for DevOps beginner and so easy to understand. Thank you so much.
Amazingly done, I really love the way you make these short vidoes, very useful and contains lots of information. They do give tons of knowledge. Appreciate all your efforts,. Thank you for sharing these great videos and knowledge.
Thank you! Finally found the topic I’ve been looking for!
Very systematic presentation and very effectively introduce all of the devops topics in short video..
