I learned tha hard way. Sizzled tha bearings slack out at full throttle. As much as a new bike costs u wouldnt think it needed overhauled. But low and behold they come with dry bearings.
Good call on the grease. I use Red Lucas Grease. But most back tires will fail because of over torqued spokes. It doesn't matter what matter what kind of rim you get, if you ride daily and burn a tank of gas a day consistently your going to blow spokes and buck rims every 20 - 30 days or so. Alloy, Steel, Aluminum Double walled doesn't matter. A rear bicycle rim is not made for the high torque of a gas engine. Period. It's the first thing to go. Quality rims will last a bit longer, but spokes will either snap, rip out of the rims or hub, or the spoke nuts will loosen because of the constant abuse and Vibration. If you get a blown spoke at high speed, you'll buck a rim, or puncture a tube. I have some tricks to extend the life of rims. But that's for another video.
Yep! I agree. That is one reason i bought the after market, tuff rim style with the disk brakes BBR offers. You will spend the money on repairs eventually so why not just get the rims now? ;)
I just bought a new beach cruiser and the bearings were bone dry of grease. Also very loose. This was the first thing I did before riding to break everything in. Greased and tightened everything. I am putting at least 50 mile ride time on it. Then upgrading to a engine. What type engine kit do you recommend for a 26 inch cruiser single speed with coaster break? There are so many brands to choose.
i'd go for the 49cc 4 stroke. it is much more reliable than a 2 stroke. i would add hand brakes since the coaster brake isn't enough to handle those speeds
Hey Rick, keep watching the series as this is exactly what your project will need to follow every step of the way. We are using our stage 4 engine kit as that’s the engine I put on my very first bike and it’s provenience reliability. Let’s roll!
Great tips & tricks thanks Mr Tony keep sharing those great videos a bout bikes & motorized bikes si helpfull thanks Say hello Joe & Bros,suscribes.joe.
I DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH GREASE. I JUST LAY THE BIKE ON IT'S SIDE AND DRIP A LITTLE MOTOR OIL IN IT AND CALL IT GOOD ENOUGH. BEEN DOING IT FOR MANY YEAR AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.
I DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH A BIKE THAT WAY THEIRS NO NEED FOR GREESE BUT THEN MY GRANSON HAD TOO WALK TO SKOOL UPHILL BOTH WAYS JUST LIKE WE DID BACK B4 THE INTERNET BARB THATS A GOOD SAMMICH GOBBLES Sent from BlackBerry
You really should pack the grease inside housing because I might win Stingray I'm waiting head and double-check to wheel bearing grease and there was nothing so I use high temperature Grace and make sure there's plenty to to make it last

Great Mr well explained, thanks to share continúe,Say hello Joe & Bros, suscribes.
Bought my son a new mongoose bike a few years ago. 2 months after he had it i noticed all the bearing were totally gone. Check over your bikes
i think alot of people screw up their engines due to poor lubrication of the other parts of the bike
💯 my man!
I have a jar of Old Bull mold grease....would it work for this

Mag wheels are also a good upgrade #builditright
Does Tractor supply sell that grease? i have a store in my area
What grease are you using..
It’s called “multi duty complex high temp grease” that I got at Walmart.
Great video! #builditright

does that red grease cost much?
#BUILDITRIGHT/BUILDITBETTER Thanks Tony Taylor
The wheels that came with the kit from bike berry were all out of whack. Had to be trued & dish corrected.
Glad you brought it up. That’s something I’ll add to the list. Thanks brother!
Professionals don't use monkey wrenches dude. They use spanners.
Great vid but I thought it was about greasing the motor not the bike
Hey Santoscruz, thanks for the compliment! Greasing the engine is definitely coming up In the series so keep an eye out. Let’s roll!
Switz Cruz frame snapped in less then 2 month's not even 100 miles on it
#builditright
Pretty sad that a new "engine ready" bike has un-greased bearings
I would never buy from bike berry.they screwed me on brake and tail lights. The light was broken when I got it in the mail.jeff fox
