I love Rick Renner and the Hebrew Greek translations that are so much more inspirational than the translations to English. It brings the Bible alive and animated. The first one I listened to was the Christmas story, so inspiring!
Thank you! I get angry when people blame God for sickness and disease. And say, "its God will." If it's the will of God for people to be sick and dying, why did Jesus go around healing everyone from the 'will of God'?

Based on the context of that passage, I don't think Jesus is talking about the devil when he says "the thief" - he's talking about the false prophets who came before him. I think we can apply your take on this verse to the character of the devil though.

I believe that is the thief. The "wolf" that comes along and causes the hirelings to flee... that is the devil. Though I enjoy very much Renner's teachings and have been learning a lot from them, I disagree on this interpretation, because of the very context: It's not about the devil, but the false prophets. In John 10:10, it goes on to say in verses 11 and 12. Furthermore, even in the previous verses too. I've used his Greek teachings on this context.
