I clicked thinking I'd never heard the song. But the chorus and the main melody was vaguely familiar. Like just enough to know I'd heard it somewhere before but no idea where. I could barely find anything out about Nossa. From what I could gather, they weren't together all that long and only really made this song and a couple other covers on their album. Two of the members were mainly professional dancers and the other became a model I guess. The song itself, Mas Que Nada was originally a Brazilian song by Jorge Ben but it was made famous by Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66 when they covered it. Turns out I had heard the song in an unmemorable animated film called Rio I watched when I was like 8. I didn't care for the movie but the second I heard the Sergio Mendes' version I knew exactly what scene it was used in and it all came back to me. It's so weird rediscovering pieces of music years later in life. This cover's pretty cool
