first heart this song 2 days ago while i was marmalised on 2 trips,and first of all i thought it was unintelligable wicked indian music! his vocals weaved in and out of it all where it sounded like another language..then when i saw this video and when the 2:32-2:39 mark hit me it all made sense.what a find! must admit it sounds a little different than what i heard the other day,but its pretty much all there.brilliant band!
East Harlem is Spanish Harlem. One of my closest friends lives in the projects there. It's slowly getting gentrified, so you see a lot of condos popping up right across from the projects, and expensive restaurants across the street from bodegas. Smiling white people makes sense to me.
@illfaptothis Well, considering the fact that it's written by a smiling white guy I guess there's nothing wrong with the video. Or do you also complain about Beirut singing about East Harlem? If you can't bear the video go and watch one with a static picture.
