IF! You are fully insured, IF! you pay all taxes! IF! you have a signed contract or purchase order with your client(s) IF! you are satisfied with the amount you are being paid by your client(s) THEN! you should be totally exempt from AB5 and the future Pro-Act! Why are cash only, uninsured, non-tax paying, non-contracted day laborers exempt from laws like AB5? They should be the ones that AB5 is going after! The state and feds are losing tens of billions in taxes with all the ICs and freelancers unable work, It's far worse for seniors who depend on IC work because they are too old to be considered for full or part time work!
