If your laptop has Bluetooth in-built, you can connect it to the speaker the same way you connect it to a phone. If your laptop/desktop does not have bluetooth in-built, you will need an external bluetooth dongle. You can get it for Rs. 150-200. It is like a pendrive, just plug it in and you are good to go.

i got this one and after 1 day experience
1. while charging the amazon charging socket and also the top part of echo get heated and the echo remains little hot all the time.
2. i charged it full and just used it for max 30 min and battery almost finished.
